How is this even legal? One state can make requirements to travel to it? This is $#$#$ BS How is this different then putting checkpoints driving from NC to SC.

Hawaii will require visitors to the state to have received a COVID-19 vaccine booster if they want to skip quarantine.
Currently, under the rules of the state's "Safe Travels" program, travelers who don't want to quarantine for five days must either be fully vaccinated -- meaning two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine -- or have a negative COVID-19 test within one day of travel

However, the program is changing the definition of "fully vaccinated" to include booster shots, Gov. David Ige announced at a news conference last week.
This means fully vaccinated travelers who haven't received a booster shot will have to quarantine in Hawaii for five days.

Ige said changes to the program will not occur for at least two weeks so people traveling to Hawaii can adjust their plans accordingly.
"We know that the community needs time to react to that, so we would have to provide at least two weeks for those who may not be up-to-date to go to have the opportunity to go and get vaccinated if they need to," he said, according to Hawaii News Now.
During the news conference, Ige also said he was speaking with mayors and other local leaders about requiring booster shots to dine in restaurants and participate in other activities and events. However, he said he will leave that decision up to individual counties.
Last month, Maui Mayor Michael Victorino revealed booster shots would be required for locals to be considered fully vaccinated.
The rule was supposed to go into effect on Jan. 8 but was delayed until Jan. 24 so people have time to schedule booster shots, reported KHON 2.

This move comes as the Hawaii Tourism Authority announced the Safe Travels program would be undergoing several changes, including reducing the mandatory quarantine period for unvaccinated travelers without a negative COVID-19 test from 10 days to five days, in accordance with updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
Additionally, visitors will no longer be required to fill out an online questionnaire 24 hours before arrival to receive a QR code.
The governor's office did not immediately reply to ABC News' request for comment.

Notice the "Social Distancing" in the line in the picture above? That's the line to exit the airport for non vaccinated. Unvaccinated travelers are forced to sign a form they agree to quarantine for I think it is now five days, it was a week a half. They are told failure to sign will result in a $5,000 fine and a year in jail. Some choice.

So if I go there and I don't sign, entering into a contract, I can go to jail or be fined.. That would be a great lawsuit

Devastating to the tourist industry and likely to cause permanent closures of small busines: restaurants, etc maybe the big hotel chains will muddle through somehow.
EVERYTHING is imported there except what can be grown there: all fuel, medicine, 90% of food etc

Hawaii is little more than a large socialist experiment. Ever been there? The homeless population sometimes is larger than local populations. Taxes are ridiculous as a result. I have been to four islands and they all seem that way.

Youngest son visited before this Covid crap got started. He told us it is beautiful there, and the pictures he took support his statement. I should have visited years ago, but I won’t bow before their wokeness now.

I have a friend who now lives there. She wants me to come visit but I am adamant about not having a vaccine. I don't want to go there and spent the majority of my time there quarantining indoors. What a waste of time and money. I'd rather stay home.

Been to the islands 5 times. Each time the liberal homeless got worse and more of them. To the point you can’t go to the tourist areas without them chasing you down for money, food, smokes, whatever. Walk out of a doughnut shop they chase you down for a doughnut.

My wife and I were leaving a coffee shop by the ocean in Kona, walking out to the sidewalk to walk into town. There were two female bums, one asked if we had money to spare … the other was standing there in front of the restaurant in full view … urinating thru her bathing suit all over herself. Just blew my mind.

Doubt we’ll go back.

A year in jail for WHAT CHARGE?

It’s news to me that not getting the jab is a prosecutable CRIME, now….

I’ll just watch it on Magnum PI on late-night Me-TV episodes, then— at least then I can remember how the world was when still sane….
