Also... Big Money is NOT happy with the greedy/biased hands in the NY State government (the persecution of Trump has already motivated a monetary exodus). If Texas offers reasonable terms, Trillions of dollars will flow that direction.
Trump fin charges and the attempted (not sure of current status) financial transaction taxes motivated a lot of reconfiguration in the finance/markets

They need to come up with a way to access the public markets without going through the Wall Street banks. I had thought this might be a start, but if Blackrock is involved there will be no going around the banks. There was a time you needed the big banks to vet the company and market the IPO shares. Those days are past. There needs to be a simpler way to go direct to the public with your company, versus through the banks, where they get most of the IPO profits, rather than the company or the investors.

This is gonna upset the monopoly that controls trade in NYC (if it is autonomous). Ask Michael milken about ‘junk’ bonds….

Hopefully sooner than later the Texans need to declare war on Northern California and out right conquer it. From Sacramento to Oregon. Call it little Texas or whatever. Open Back up the managed logging industry and mine the precious and strategic metals environmentally minded. We proved it can be done threw the 60s,70s,80s and well into the 90s. Let they killed those once great industries, by a stupid owl and fish that are not even endangered.

the problem that I see with all of the "stuff" moving from NY and Cali to Texas is that a lot of the people that migrate with the movers are going to be very "blue"

They've tried it for decades here in Florida. Hopefully TX weather will run them out at least part of the year like it does here in FL. ;)
