Has No Life - Lives on TB
Below is the official Trump campaign site:
I have tried to donate through this site several times. It doesn't let me. Senator Ted Cruz was on a commercial for Steve Daines' (Montana) campaign which provided a donation link. I was going to send him a small donation. The donation site is basically identical to Trump's. Same deal. After putting in my donation amount and specifically rejecting the ongoing donation option, I hit continue. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
OK, gang. I've tried to donate to TWO different GOP candidates and encountered an identical problem. Guess they just don't want my money.
Interestingly, a Democrat campaign commercial featuring Schumer popped up on my screen later and I followed its donation links. Guess what? Everything worked! I - obviously - didn't complete the donation process, but was struck by the fact that the Dem's donation portal seems to work fine. The GOP's doesn't.
Oh, more: The Dems offer a PayPal button. The Republican sites don't. Does the GOP not want PayPal money???
I find myself disgusted by the GOP's apparent lack of IT savvy. I'll break down and mail them a paper check, but one shouldn't have to do that. I suspect Trump, Daines and God only knows how many other GOP candidates are shooting themselves in the financial foot by having donation sites that don't work. The Dems are no doubt laughing all the way to the bank.
