EBOLA Glenn Beck Ebola special tonight

Beck announced that he is having a panel of experts on his 5 pm program tonight. Should be very interesting. Beck is a bit panicked about Ebola since he lives in Dallas and four of his employees either lived in the apartment complex or across the street from the apartment complex of the second nurse that got Ebola.

How can mere mortals watch? Is there a way to see his show without having a subscription?

His program does not air here in the Southeastern Virginia markets.

Beck has often said he doesn't care if someone signs up for the free two week trial period and cancels it right after the show.

Excellent! I'll be watching the rerun at 7:00. His Blaze network is doing a lot of good and I listen to the radio program pretty much every day. But I guess I missed the TV show update. Thanks!

Eh.....I'm a big Glenn fan but the show was just fair.

But I'm also reading here & know more than the average bear.

I just read a post on FB where his security team refused admittance to one HCW who was going to be in the audience because he had been directly exposed to the nurses who came down with ebola.

I don't understand why these people(especially HCWs who should know better) who have exposure to ebola victims are not self-isolating and avoiding public crowds!

I also watched it and didn't think it was as good as it could have been. But as someone else here pointed out, this group is not the average clueless American. I liked it that he didn't have people that just agreed with him. Each had their own take on the issues so you got differing opinions without all the hostility you see when the two parties disagree.

Interestingly, Beck said he had a person from Emory but they cancelled due to an emergency.

Glenn also has been talking about the dog and until last night felt that the risk to humans from the dog was too great and the dog should be euthed. All three guests disagreed with him and explained why and that was a good thing. Beck had no problem being told he was wrong.

The more I watch Beck, the more I like him. Yes, he has gotten things wrong and there are times I want to throw a hammer through the TV when he gets dramatic. But overall, he is doing great things. People who don't watch him regularly aren't going to see that. People who don't want anyone to disagree with them aren't going to like Beck. He isn't a politician who says what he thinks will make him popular.

I haven't been following Beck lately but I read somewhere very recently that he believes the Ebola situation in America is not an accident. Has anyone else heard this from him?

He believes that because like myself, I have looked at the decisions made by the administration and believe that those decisions increase the risk of the spread of the disease.

I listened to Glenn wayyy back, before ANY fame, daily on the radio and followed him clear up until he left regular tv/radio. Now, I only get to listen to him a couple times a week by computer streaming because we didn't sign up for his new "Paying member stuff "online tv, So, I've missed quite a bit of his new views. He USED to be uproariously funny AND pee-your-pants scary all at the same time. I miss those days.....:(

Just watched that video.

So the smart people say that being on an airplane with someone who has Ebola *is* a serious risk.

Gulp.

Was this on last night where he took the PPE gear off? I like GB but it was a little over the top. I am not sure who the people were that threw the stuff on him and were then showing him how to get it off but it was all wrong.

The way he did it he had stuff all over him and they showed him how to take it off. That's not how you do it even in a normal health care setting with normal gear.

I appreciate his effort to educate people but they need to be doing it right. What he showed just adds to the fear.

That and the guy throwing stuff on him was an idiot. He pissed Beck off a couple times. I thought that was funny.

I watched that. The stuff that was being thrown on him (spaghetti and chocolate syrup) was to simulate projectile vomiting and diarrhea. He got his "guidelines" for taking of the Level 2 gear from the health officials (I forget the term used). The one guy was one of his sidekicks from his radio show and I'm not sure who the lady was with the directions. Over the top, probably, but he was just trying to show how level 2 gear was not appropriate protection for the healthcare workers.
