RACE WAR Ghetto Thug Robbed My Child today

My DD called me that she had just been robbed at a Walmart. She checked out with her groceries and instead of putting her wallet in her pocket, she put it in her shopping bag. She just had a double mastectomy a week ago so was in no position to fight her attacker.

I asked, was he black and of course the answer was yes. My first impulse was that I'd like to find the guy and kill him. Two in the chest, one in the head.

It makes me very angry that thugs think they deserve what other people have. I had just given her some money because she was not going to work for three weeks and this entitled asshole took it from her.

My dd wants to get a gun now.

On reflection,I told her it would be better to let the slim bag take the wallet because even though she lost $130, it would have been a lot more expensive if she had followed my method for dealing with this dreg of society.

Even if no charges were filed, the civil lawsuit could cause lawyer fees between $200 and $500 per hour. And the defense would require tens if not hundreds of hours.

The slime bag was not worth it, even though it would have made me feel a lot better about it.

My only hope is that someone takes this cockroach out in a horrific manner.

Sorry to hear that, but Wallyworld is like a watering hole on the savanna. The predators prowl there.

So sorry to hear that. This town has brought in the worst of the worst since our economy has been so strong. I have seen people recently that make you wonder what f'ing rock they came out from under. Skanks. Which Walmart? And any film?

I think this was a crime of opportunity. Someone watching sees someone put their wallet in a bag that they can snatch and run as opposed to trying to rob someone and get the wallet out of their pocket.

What this shows is that situational awareness is needed. People need to be aware of the other people around them and their surroundings.

Made me want to go to the walmart and act real weak and make a show of putting a wallet in the bag and walk out with my hand on my gun.

That kind of scum does not deserve to live.

I don't know the law of self defense that well in TX, but I don't think your local DA will go with you popping some thug over a property crime unless your life is threatened.

EXCEPT AT NIGHT of course - God knows it's Texas and you can shoot anybody at night for ANYTHING in Texas. (sarc)

I give up.
My heart goes out to your DD, dstraito. Like she didn't already have enough on her plate. My suggestion (or order, if you like :) ) -- she needs to have an escort every time she goes out for a while. A friend of mine at my old work had that operation done and she was out much, much longer than 3 weeks. Your daughter is extremely vulnerable at this time. And will be for quite a while.

:(

I think a little vigilance and situational awareness probably would have prevented this. Needless to say, she is aware now.

That is why I told her to let them have whatever unless they threaten her with a weapon, still, regardless of laws, that type of vermin does not deserve to live and it might be worth the penalty to remove them from this earth.

I don't care if it is just property, we can't have that attitude, where if I want it I take it. It is not the property but the principle, it doesn't belong to them and they are not entitled to take it and if they try their life could be forfeit.

THAT will reduce the crime rate.

I'm good with it either way.

No, it's called chemo/radiation brain and she really DOES need a handler right now in her life to help with the little things like grocery shopping, paying bills, etc. What would your state of mind be like if you'd just had your balls surgically removed? I'm guessing you wouldn't be on your "A" game! In fact I've known guys who had to be surgically castrated due to cancer issues and yeah it took them years before they functioned in a normal manner again.

Give her a break, after all she is you child. a double mastectomy is a horrifically emotional event in a woman's life.

There is no chemo and I'm not knocking her, the fact that this kind of thing happens is such that I am glad she is going to be more aware now. Anyone can be naive and not aware, and things could have gone a lot worse than it did.

My plea would be for everyone to be more aware of their surroundings because there are slime balls out there

My dd did nothing wrong and it could have happened anyone

Completely agree.

And no matter how good someone might think their situational awareness is, there are always gaps. Craig Douglas used to say that his training in 0 to 5 foot gunfighting was for "WHEN your awareness fails."

Absolutely agree, she has gone through a horrific & traumatic physical & psychological event that she is no where near being over. Add this event to it and her morale has probably tanked as far as it can go. She needs a lot of love and support right now. Please tell her she's in our prayers.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. I gotta ask a question though: what business does a person who had VERY major surgery ONE WEEK AGO doing out shopping? When I had my gastric bypass surgery, I was in the hospital for five days after, then at home either in bed or an easy chair for another ten days before even considering leaving the house. And I was totally doped-up on opiate painkillers. Why isn't someone taking proper care of her and doing these things for her?

She has been taken care of and has been staying with a friend. She just needed to get her medicine and her friend was at work. It has been two weeks now and she this was her first outing. I'm glad it didn't devolve into a physical confrontation.

Lawyer who spoke at our firearms class encouraged us to think through and come to grips with what circumstances WERE "worth it" BEFORE circumstances required us to do so, noting that if we drew our weapon and the police became involved, that was between a $5,000 and $10,000 decision at a minimum, just in legal fees. The bill goes up from there if you fire, if you injure, if you kill, even in self defense.

C and C Insurance is well worth the price at about $30/month.

What does that cover, sounds like now a days it might be worth looking in to

Where does one buy it?

dstraito, sorry about your daughter. There are some things I am absoluty fanatical about not putting off like writing down hours for work lest I forget and not show up. Putting away a wallet would also be one now. Let those in line wait a little. She had to wait as well.

Sorry this happened to your daughter. Just out of curiosity, do you think she could id him if she saw him again? Because I'll bet he keeps going to that store.

Even w/o chemo and radiation the trauma she's been through recently is HUGE... please be on the look out for her, the next three years will be rough beyond comprehension!

the general attitude towards women who've had a mastectomy or had their uterus and ovaries removed by the medical establishment is beyond appalling. Had she been a man who had his nads removed angels would have tended to her night and day for a solid month. This is modern medicine at it's best... NOT.

I'm glad your daughter is okay after what this scum did. I'd want his blood too! It could have been much worse though given how brazen they've become. My daughters away in college and I hate when she goes to WalMart just because of all the stories like this. It can happen anywhere, but WalMart seems to have more than their fair share.

I have a related but unrelated question if I may. You said that "now she wants a gun." Why didn't she want a gun before this? Is she a liberal? how old is she? What state is she in?

Sorry she had this happen, just wondered, was her ID with address in what was grabbed. They just busted a ring of purse snatchers in this area hitting elderly ladies and moms with young kids. Then homes were hit. On two elderly victims the players came in the night and kicked the doors in.

I don't know how many times I have seen woman put there purse in the child seat of the grocery cart and then walk away looking for something on the shelf. I never leave my purse in the cart, Its on my shoulder. How many woman scan the parking lot before they get out of the car, Or when coming back out of the store make sure coast is clear of scum hanging around.
There is two wall marts down here where I live that you would never venture into after dark, or in the day time with out a male companion. Wall mart needs to up there security systems.
