Half Moon Lake Damn Maintenance to Take Place Next Week
Post Date: 12/02/2022 1:40 PMAt the direction of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the City of Eau Claire will be performing required maintenance on the Half Moon lake dam during the week of December 5, 2022.
The DNR requires this maintenance as part of the permitting process for the dam and is not related to the boardwalk trail proposed for the area. Trees create weaknesses within the dam structure and are a potential safety hazard. Maintenance will include removing all woody vegetation from both sides of the dam structure, just north of the YMCA Tennis Center. City Staff will be working with a DNR Fisheries Biologist to use some of the larger trees as a fish habitat along the shore of Half Moon Lake.

I am glad that i was not standing there to twist your arm to read the whole thing. I am not a strong-arm bully. I thought it would be very apparent in the first few sentences, especially for grammar nazis. I think it is funny.
