Hi gang, I'm putting this in a one off thread because I just finished this book last night and the author has it our for free again today and I think some people here might really enjoy it.
It is another "end of the world" fantasy science fiction book but with a lot of serious twist, turns and utter surprises that will keep you up late (or going to bed early) just so you can keep going.
The book is very long, I suspect is a publishing house buys it they will split into into three books but I like books like this that are long, extremely well written and detailed.
Don't be fooled into thinking this is one of those "Bad Boy with heart of gold saves the Universe" young adult novels either - it may start out like that but that is very deceptive - the book goes places I wouldn't intentionally take a young teenager and would at least want to have read the book before them if they did read it so we could talk later.
There is some military action in the book, the author damped it down some; they are a veteran and know their stuff but she didn't want to bog the book down with too much detail - just enough to inform people who understand but otherwise keep people like me reading.
There is some graphic sex and violence in the book, as well as very adult language so keep that in mind when reading or sharing with family members.
The next book will have my husband in it as "Dr. Wolf" but I suspect we won't be reading about him for a little while yet lol
