thompson you are amazing with all your posts! I hope you know I steal from you regularly! :applaud: :D

Thanks for your kind words, RB! And I'm glad you swipe them, because I did, too! ;) :chg:

Political cartoons (and now memes and tweets) have always been important in educating the public; they go back a long way in our history. They allow people to see things/consider things in a different light than in just the written word. An editorial artist or meme-maker can often bring things to a very fine, sharp point that no amount of words can make some people understand. The artists and makers also do something I think is very important with their illustrations and creations and that's signaling to the viewer that They Are Not Alone with their thoughts. We fight a barrage of idiocy every single day; these are a respite, and a chance to get a second breath.

Ain't it the truth? Where're Will Rogers and Mark Twain when we really need 'em?

the idea is to keep a little bit of the rain water spread out over a wide area so that it soaks into the ground

waters the grass and trees

adds water to the local area in the ground

so that i can pump nice clean water out of the ground to drink ANYTIME

INSTEAD of draining ALL the rain to the ocean

BUT if we have A LARGE AMOUNT OF RAIN in a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME

we have a LARGE PIPE TO DRAIN a lot of the water away

THIS LARGE PIPE GOES TO A LARGE pond area that gives it a lot of time to soak into the ground

only if the big pond gets full

will the water overflow and go down river

SO, FOR US WATER DRINKERS

THIS COULD WELL BE

“PEAK GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY”

Ok that is reasonable reasoning!
