Wish Georgia had this as well...it would be like Christmas in May!

It would also be cool if this was done nationally for a week or a few days...I think it would definitely drive home to the masses the need to prep, plus provide some economic incentive to stock up.

Still can't find the link. I heard it on the Jacksonville news at 6:00 p.m.

They were showing all the preps that would be used in a hurricane, but all of them would be used in any situation. The biggest seller last year were generators.

The list of what was tax free was very very specific.

Small to medium sized coolers.

Mid-sized gennies.

Batteries, ???but not 9v??? or was that not AAAs -- I think it was NOT AAA -- Which I use in my LED head lamps.

I'd suggest getting Chilli for some of your staples. ;)

Also, hit up the resturants for the mayo packets -- 2 or 3 per can of tuna! Yum! Costco sells them for ~$9 / 200 .

My mid-summer gift for friend and family will be a 50 pakets of mayo, a LED head-lamp, and an eye dropper for bleach.
