Paul Ryan is NO friend to normal Americans, and you know it... No candidate I would support would ever desire or even acknowledge such. NO presidential hopeful I'd support would EVER want their name associated with Tim Scott, either. You'll probably need to chew on this for a while...because it's tough and full of gristle.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Wins Coveted Paul Ryan Endorsement for 2024

Folks, I’m not trying to bust on Ron DeSantis, I’m just highlighting the dynamic in the background to include the political players and deep connected GOP club operatives. If the truth makes me a critic, then so be it; but I’m not going to play the pretending game. Quite frankly, I’m tired of it.

Ron DeSantis is backed by the same assembly of political insiders, donors, corporations and financial backers that supported Jeb Bush. The professionally republican class know what they have in DeSantis, and he is brand organized, packaged & managed to deliver on their intents.

Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is as dialed in to the GOP club system as it gets. Ryan’s brass nameplate is rivetted to one of the select mahogany chairs at the club table.

Speaking Wednesday at the Robin Hood conference before billionaires Steve Cohen and Paul Tudor Jones went on stage, Paul Ryan noted the GOP 2024 nominee will be “someone other than Donald Trump.”

According to a recording of his talk, Ryan named Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott as his three favorites. {source} DeSantis fighting Disney was “really good for him, from a political perspective,” Ryan said.

DeSantis didn’t raise $200+ million, with 94% coming from billionaires and multinational corporations, for a gubernatorial reelection race in Florida. Keep in mind all of the major expenses (television ads, mailers, etc.) are coming from outside PACs and affiliated groups.

DeSantis has raised a massive war chest and he is not spending it. He has willingly accepted the positioning for a 2024 nomination effort. It is intellectually dishonest not to see what the Club is doing.

The DNC Club is doing the same thing with California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The both wings of the UniParty want a Newsom -vs- DeSantis contest.

The professional political approach is as clear now in 2022 as it was in 2014 when the clubs were organizing the Hillary -vs- Jeb contest for 2016.

And as for David Frum... not surprising he'd be OK with DeSantis

Last I knew most of US were okay with DeSantis if Trump wasn't available.

As I said in the other DeSantis thread, hes not our guy. He's their guy. If he wont respect the Constitution as the governor of Florida, why would I expect him to do it as President. Do not fall for it. You are seeing him everywhere being associated with a run for president for a reason. You're being primed.

I want my elected representative to be America first, America always. For instance, DeSantis also signed a law greatly broadening the definition of, and criminalizing "anti Semitism" in Florida. Regardless of your feelings and opinions, this is contrary to the 1st Amendment.

Florida bill defines anti-Semitism, prohibits discrimination

Published March 12, 2019 2:37pm EDT

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A bill that would define anti-Semitism under Florida law and prohibit religion-based discrimination at public schools and universities is advancing in the Legislature.

The House Criminal Justice Subcommittee unanimously approved a bill Tuesday that would prohibit speech that makes dehumanizing or stereotypical allegations about the Jewish community, or that compares contemporary Israeli policies to those of Nazi Germany.

The anti-Semitism definition also would prohibit expressing a hatred for Jews, calling for the killing or harming of a Jewish person, criticizing the collective power of the Jewish community, or accusing Jewish people or Israel of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.

The bill would require educational institutions to consider this definition when determining if some practice or action constitutes discrimination based on religion.

Use your brain, Blacknarwhal.

Do you personally trust the same people who were backing Jeb! Bush's run for president in 2016 to back a candidate that is for the American people? Yes or no.

Of course not.

But remember that only weeks ago many of us, here, on this board, believed that DeSantis would have made a passable substitute for Trump.

So this suggests one of two outcomes.

1. DeSantis is not as freedom-minded as his previous efforts suggest.
2. The Jeb! crowd is attempting to poison the well against DeSantis by offering their endorsement.

I love the DeSantis I have seen that last two years. Prior to that he was a rino at best. We need someone badly but we need to be careful, he is a member of the Pilgrims society.

Guess it doesn't matter now, everything is a lie and there is no human in sight up to what must be done so my friends, for me and mine that leaves the Lord God almighty.

I for one believe we are watching Washington's vision scenario #3 play out in real time, note the "dark spectre" being flown in from Africa and sprinkled in every state and small town, this means war right here in river city.

I had thought that Paul Ryan had been unceremoniously dumped in the "ashbin of history!"
He is a traitor of the highest degree and deserves far more than a "dumping". Unfortunately the word traitor can no longer be defined and the one sentence fix for all traitors in the Constitution is mysteriously shunned and overlooked.

Is this like someone being told that they are a little bit pregnant, or a little bit dead? Or, is it like being told that they have an incurable, super-contagious STD? Perhaps shaving one’s head, donning sack cloth and ashes, and going to live as a hermit in a cave might be best- outside of suicide? Or, to be misidentified as Mittens Romney, or any other traitor, like Joseph Bidenpence, could be worse… Sheesh, the number of possible insults that are possible, are Legion…

Exactly. It's fake left. Tulis becoming anything other than what she is, a Demtard, is laughable. It's a ploy and I look at this Ryan tactic as a ploy by the left.

Who says DeSantis gives a crap about this "coveted endorsement"? ROFL

Just because they think they/it are important doesn't mean that DeSantis or his team particularly does. Makes for a nice argument-inducing headline though. And so many people take the bait like a hungry fish.

an excellent point - I have my doubts that it will. tragic in the extreme.

there was a time this country was TRULY humanities bright beacon on a hill top - admired by the entire world. exactly when we began to dim is debatable, though my personal thoughts regarding the begining of our decline are at the turn of the 20'th century, during the Wilson administration. it was then when the foothold given to the cabal really began to sap the strength, morals and life's blood of this once great nation. it was during that time period - WWI, the era of the robber barons, the creation of the Federal Reserve and the bogus league of nations - which eventually became the UN - undoubtedly the most evil and despicable organization on the planet - were spawned by the satanic cabal. that cabal has for many long centuries dimmed and stifled human kind.

SHOULD this once bright beacon on the hill be extinguished humanity will enter a long darkness. we MAY BE absolutely powerless to stop that; but we CAN NOT allow that to happen without rising to meet the challenge.

I've said this before - and I repeat it now once more. we stand at the razors edge of the great battle of GOOD v EVIL. depending on your personal world view, I completely believe that we were either CHOSEN to be here or CHOSE for ourselves to enter this plane of existence "for such a time as this". I humbly suggest that we would each be wise to ponder these things.

It's interesting and instructive to look at and analyze where contributions to a campaign chest come from, and from whom and how much.

A "man of the people" does not have the backing of Big Money™. Jeb! Bush did; Donald Trump did not.

Pay attention to who funds and backs a candidate.
