Pests/Ctrl First snake of the season!

The wind brought down a big Oak tree limb on Sat nite as the bad weather rolled thru. Fell in the chicken yard. Went out Sunday morning to remove limb from the pen. Rolled it over so chickens could feast on bugs in the rotten limb and surprise! 6 ft rat snake was coiled and hibernating in the limb. A first for us! We saw his shed skin last year in the tree and caught him stealing eggs but couldn't corner him!

They're rat basterd rat snakes! Kill them all!

Think we may have killed one already this year too. But not for sure. Though a porcelain egg has dissapeared and neighbors tell us that will kill em.
