And then there are the traitors who let NYSDEC brow beat them into putting a public ramp on a virtually TOTALLY private Musky lake, so that NYSDEC can then ACCESS the folks out on the water fishing.

It wasn't until about 15 years ago that NYSDEC couldn't access boaters on the lake. at Bear Lake
When the bait shack changed hands and the DEC FORCED the new owner to put in a "public" ramp. RELIC's family and about 50 other families around the lake were AGHAST.

I clicked on about half a dozen of them in Nueces and San Patricio counties, Texas, that I know precisely where the boat ramps are, and 100% of the "view google map" button took me to the wrong place, some to the wrong end of Texas!

LOL! Reminds me of the map that supposedly showed where "convicted felons" lived. The ex-cop who posted it SWORE it was accurate, and it was just my normalcy bias that made me insist there weren't 7 different felons living ON our farm... including one in the middle of a stock pond, 1/3 mile from the closest road!

Part of my job at our DNR was dedign of boat ramps/parking areas, I probly did 2-300 in my career in lakes & rivers across the state...I might be able to find most of the sites again, I'll wager that the above list wouldn't show more than half of them...
