(Reuters) - The U.S. government will begin testing on people an experimental Ebola vaccine as early as September, after seeing positive results from tests on primates, according to media reports on Thursday.

The National Institutes of Health's infectious disease unit is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to put the vaccine into trial as quickly as possible, according to CNN and USA Today. The director of that unit could not be reached for comment.

If they're fast tracking this my guess is that the situation in West Africa is a lot worse than the official reports out of those countries and WHO regarding the number of cases and deaths. Add that to an incubation period of almost a month where the victim is ambulatory and contagious and all of the pandemic films of late become reality.

Considering the current hysteria in the "hot zone" regarding the foreign medical staff's "true" motives, the people most in need of such a vaccine, if it were found to be effective, wouldn't take it even if you put a gun to their head.

Omaha biocontainment unit inspected by feds

Omaha (AP) - Federal officials are assessing the Nebraska Medical Center Biocontainment Unit's ability to treat people infected with the Ebola virus that is sweeping West Africa.

The Omaha World-Herald reports that officials with the U.S. State Department inspected the Omaha unit on Friday.

The inspection came as officials prepared to fly two Americans infected with the deadly virus into the U.S. for treatment — the first time anyone infected with Ebola has been brought into the country.

Doctor Philip Smith, medical director of the unit, says there are no immediate plans to transfer Ebola patients to the Omaha hospital.

But the Omaha medical center's 10-bed biocontainment unit is the largest quarantine and treatment facility in the country and could be used if other cases turn up in the U.S.

GOOD POINT and who could blame them since they have been used as uninformed "research subjects" and GUINEA PIGS in first world medical experiments without their permission or knowledge for as long as history records our first world interaction with them

THEY DO NOT KNOW WHO DO TRUST.
They are definitely better off trusting ORGANIZED MAJOR CHURCH AFFILIATED Christian medical relief organizations, but the United Nations, WHO, private unaffiliated with specific church charities, and Red Cross are all suspect and too closely tied, supplied, supported by or funded by the UN POPULATION reduction agenda folks.

At some point it has to be tested on humans. This strains kills about 90%. Given that death rate, one doesn't have a lot to lose by testing it.

They need to take their EXPERIMENTAL VACCINE right to the place the problem exists and test it there. Plain, simple truth, use it where the problem exists, make the point of origin the control point.

Check out the latest post to the long Africa thread (re-posted on the Atlanta thread) -- they have ALREADY USED AN EXPERIMENTAL SERUM ON BOTH EBOLA PATIENTS BEING BROUGHT TO THE US and per the doctors, their recovery is "miraculous."

This ALONE explains WHY these people were brought back---so CDC can STUDY the effect of this EXPERIMENTAL SERUM on these two "lab rabs".

I'm glad it appears to be working, for their sake, but I am concerned about many things re this, not the least of which is---are they going to KEEP THEM QUARANTINED for a while, or once declared "recovered" will they be released to go home with their families---even though reliable reports have STATED THAT THE VIRUS IS STILL CONTAGIOUS AND COMMUNICABLE IN RECOVERED VICTIMS' BODY FLUIDS FOR 7 WEEKS AFTER RECOVERY? (or more?)
