The FBI has released a guide for law enforcement to help them protect their personal information. I haven't went through the entire document yet, but it looks to be very comprehensive (354 pages) and will provide good information for anyone wanting to protect their privacy. It is mostly common sense stuff for technical folks written for technically challenged folks. Basically it covers how to turn off location tracking, personal information tracking, and settings that store cached history. It is for the officers as much as it is for their family members.
