im so glad everyone likes them, it sure is balm for the soul. i used to post them now and then on the political joke thread but it was suggested i start a pet thread instead so i cant take all the credit, but this sure is fun isnt it? almost like getting a hug every time you come here. post away boys and girls! the meme you post today could make someones day a bit better.

Here's two of the characters in my zoo - Ash (the dog is 6) and Gabriel (cat is 8 months). Gabriel has decided that Ash is mom - suckles on his chest hair when Ash will let him.

I have to admit that not being familiar with what memes are, I avoided this thread for days. Finally after seeing it grow to several pages, decided, last night to check it out, and a big WOW!, it
is way more fun than the proverbial barrel of monkeys! Good thing the neighbors can’t hear my gales of laughter!
How true that laughter is the best medicine, and this is beautifully filling that prescription! A HUGE thanks to jazzy, Shadow Man, and everyone else for all these wonderful belly laffs....haven’t had this much fun in I don’t remember when! (Isolation Syndrome.)

I guess this belongs here because it pertains to dogs. When I first began to see the word "meme", the last thing from my mind was a picture that explains things. What I saw and sounded out was my Catahoula's Grand Dam's (Grandmother, for those not pup people) name "Meme". You say that, or it sounds like may-may in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana where she was from. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how that pup had got so famous all of a sudden?! Now, I know what a meme is.
I find it funny and kind of frustrating that Elders hide their vast knowledge from the younger set and the younger set get their revenge doing the same thing. Dogs think we humans are crazy.

FYI, “meme” is pronounced like “mom” but with an “e”. It’s not pronounced “me-me”.
