There are unverified reports of the USS Carney Destroyer being attacked with drones in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen.
This was reported by many sources in Iran and Israel.
If confirmed, this would be a VERY SIGNIFICANT escalation, and more escalation from Iranian proxies.
However, Dan Lamothe, Pentagon Reporter for the Washington post, stated:
"Word of caution: A senior U.S. defense official said today that they are dealing w/ an "acute" environment of disinformation, w/ claims of attacks on U.S. forces in Middle East that have not happened.
That said: Risk there for escalation in attacks right now, officials say."
