Anyone know of some good expat forums?
Not ones run by groups that want you to come live in thier "community" but some non biased ones.

I have been looking but my search-fu is not working well. I would love a place in the Americas with an english speaking enclave and gun friendly. From my research so far that is a rare animal.

Look into Chile. Not ideal, but about the best of the South American countries. There are a couple of good online forums.

Yeah the scales are tipping more and more towards this not being the place to be.
Being from generations of Texans before it was a Republic it is real hard for me to get it in my head to leave.

I know some professionals such as medical MDs and other professionals that are making plans and searching for a place. If they go as a group then it would be wise to make the move with them. So, I'm just trying to get prepared if I/them/we decide to go.

There is just so much to consider it is mind boggling. At least with a group there are more minds working the problem.

If I go then the worst that could happen is I lose everything. About the same as if I stay.

I feel so sorry for the Drs involved as they are being regulated to an almost financial death or working for free. Basicaly plumbers will make more than Drs in the long run.

ps. the writing is on the wall when it comes to the financial situation and at worse total collapse. I see no way to avoid it if I/we stay.

Same boat here. I have a mental top five countries list.
Another concern is / could be learning a new language.
