"assuming" that their enemies THINK and SEE THE WORLD as THEY DO.

They just cannot seem to comprehend, or accept, that not EVERYBODY lives in the skittle-doodling world of rainbow unicorns that the politically correct inhabit, and that their "schema" are, simply, WRONG and based in UNREALITY....

IS there a New " EU Refugee/Migration Crises - News Only Thread for OCTOBER 2015"?

I just spent a fair amount of time looking for the "Europe Immigration Crisis" thread that several posters on other threads had referred to, saying, "see the latest post on the migrant thread for this and that..." and couldn't find it anywhere on Main page 1, which is where I'd expect it to be. Finally found it by searching on word "migrant."

So, Pretty Please---can this either be made a "sticky", so it stays on Main page 1, or re-named to leave off "September" and just say "EU Refugee/Migration Crises - News Only Thread", or something so we can find it easier?

With things heating up the way they are, and now with the new news in BS, I'd very much like to have this to hand easy to find.

Thanks.

I try to remember to bump it at least once a day.

There are lots of really important individual posts showing up on main now that I wish could be easily copied into this thread, to have it all together in one place.

We may need to do what we did for the Ebola articles - put up a new thread each month.

Refugees refuse beds at Swedish holiday park

Published: 26 Oct 2015 10:28 GMT+01:00
Updated: 26 Oct 2015 17:00 GMT+01:00

More than 30 asylum seekers refused to get off a bus that took them to temporary accommodation at a holiday park on Sunday night because they didn't want to stay in such a rural location, Sweden's Migration Board has told The Local.

Two buses packed with refugees arrived at the park in Lima in west Sweden on Sunday, but around 30 passengers initially refused to disembark.

Charlotte Jacobsson, a press spokesperson for Sweden's Migration Board (Migrationsverket) confirmed to The Local that a number of the asylum seekers had felt uncomfortable being surrounded by so much forest.

On one hand, "beggars can't be choosers."

On the other hand, some of the refugees (and I do have some real concern / pity for them as opposed to "migrants" or others) have most likely never seen a forest in their lives. Maybe even a tree. I could understand how scary that could be.

Imagine all the trees, and all the women being so incredibly outnumbered by the men, and now living in very close proximity to them, in the DARK of winter... I'd be concerned too.

One more thing - if TPTB want or expect these migrants / refugees to assimilate, that's probably not going to happen when they drop them off in the back of beyond of one of the coldest countries on earth.

So yeah, I'm torn on this one.

I give up.
Don't be torn, Bev. As you've probably read, Germany is booting people out of their homes and apartments to accommodate these creatures.

Next, it will be the Palace of Versailles.

Very, very few - if any - of these invading moslems want to assimilate. They have huge demands and expectations and in many, many cases ulterior motives of jihad and taking over Europe. They don't want this, don't want that, must have this, must have that.

Real refugees are families, not an ocean of young men alone.

There is a short video about halfway down the page that is UNBELIEVABLE! Scores of refugees / migrants walking across farmland in the Balkans, just unbelievable.

Here are the highlights of the article. There are many pictures at the link.

The migrants left high and dry:

Thousands continuing to trudge through the Balkans are at risk of trench foot as freezing weather leaves them constantly wet, prompting EU plan to fly arrivals from Greece

Thousands of migrants face death and ailments such as trench foot due to freezing winter marches through Balkans

Fears over the health and lives of those desperate to reach the Eurozone have prompted emergency EU measures

It hopes to persuade refugees in Greece to remain where they are to wait for free flights to countries offering asylum

Yesterday the head of the EU warned Syrian refugee families faced 'perishing' in icy Balkans rivers and waterways

Here is the relevant text from that article (I didn't copy the whole thing because it's mostly pictures - gorgeous night pictures!) -

"Thousands of migrants making their way through the Balkans are at risk of death and conditions such as trench foot as freezing winter weather closes in on Europe.

Fears over the health of those trying to make their way overland and into the Eurozone have now prompted the EU to offer refugees in Greece paid flights to countries offering asylum.

It is believed the flights will be an incentive to those currently in the country to stay put and hope to be moved, rather than attempt the risky overland journey through the Balkans.

Pledging to act fast on agreements by Balkan leaders on Sunday to slow and control the flow of Syrians and others making their way to Germany from Turkey, officials acknowledged people would keep coming and said persuading them to accept orderly relocation arrangements would be vital.

One EU official said: 'The idea is also to convince the Syrian father that it is better to stay in Greece with his family until they can be relocated,' noting the difficulties tens of thousands of people face out in the open in the Balkans.

Free flights to safe countries would be a much better option, the official said, than uncertain treks to the north.

The United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), which worked with the EU and non-EU states in the region to formulate Sunday's plan, stressed the need for immediate action to save lives, though questions remain over how fast resources will be available and how squabbling neighbouring governments will start to cooperate.

'Measures agreed yesterday have to be applied immediately and completely,' said UNHCR spokeswoman Carlotta Sami. 'We have already had several cases of hypothermia among people waiting in the cold... There is a risk of tragedies due to the weather.'

The agreement foresees places for 100,000 people waiting for asylum claims to be assessed, 50,000 in Greece and 50,000 in Balkan states further north. The EU has promised funds to Greece and the other countries to provide emergency help.

At the meeting, involving 11 countries and held at the initiative of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was pressed to do more to document those arriving. The final joint statement said policies of 'waving through refugees' toward neighbouring countries must end.

Tsipras himself stressed that the root of the problem lay in Turkey, from where most Syrians and Iraqis, as well as migrants from South Asia, head by sea to nearby Greek islands. The EU is negotiating separately with Turkey to control those flows.

Several diplomats and EU officials said there were signs that Tsipras, who has had rocky relations this year with Berlin and Brussels during negotiations on a euro zone bailout, was stepping up cooperation on the migrant crisis after months in which officials have complained about a perceived lack of will in Athens.

A priority now for Greece will be the provision of some 20,000 new places to house people temporarily by the end of the year, in addition to the existing 10,000, EU officials said. A further 20,000 places should be provided later. The Greek government has resisted setting up camps. EU officials said places could be provided in other ways, such as hotels or private apartments.

Those identified as economic migrants to be returned to their home countries could be kept in secure units, however.

A major part of EU efforts to ensure Greece and Italy do not simply help undocumented migrants travel through to reach richer parts of northern Europe has been a new scheme to relocate those likely to be granted refugee status in other EU states.

That has set governments against each other and has got off to a slow start. So far fewer than 100 people have been flown from Italy to northern countries and none as yet from Greece.

EU officials said the scheme, intended to take up to 160,000 people over the next two years, would accelerate once migrants could be reassured that it would work. Many had been reluctant to agree to it, officials said, fearing they might be deported.

[And the following set off in a blue box-]

MIGRANTS COULD FREEZE TO DEATH, HEAD OF UN WARNS

Thousands of refugees fleeing Syria could start freezing to death in Eastern Europe, the head of the EU has warned.

Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission, said a solution to the continuing crisis was needed urgently before people 'perished'.

It comes amid warnings from European leaders that the continent was 'falling apart' trying to deal with the crisis – with thousands of migrants arriving every day.

The heads of 11 EU countries from central and eastern Europe met in Brussels for an emergency summit on Sunday night.

At the meeting Mr Juncker warned: 'Every day counts. Otherwise we will soon see families in cold rivers in the Balkans perish miserably.'

Miro Cerar, the Slovenian prime minister, said the EU was days from collapse and claimed his country was struggling to cope with the 'unbearable' influx of migrants.

He said: 'If we do not deliver some immediate and concrete actions on the ground in the next few days and weeks I believe the EU and Europe as a whole will start falling apart.'

More than 670,000 people have crossed into Europe this year alone – with an astonishing 56,000 landing on Greek islands in the six days alone.

At the summit EU leaders agreed to create another 100,000 spaces in refugee reception centres.

I spent some time going back and reading some of these articles again, and noticed this and had to do a double-take.

The EU is going to have Greece keep all these refugees / migrants in Greece until free flights can be arranged to take them wherever they want to go?

Where in God's creation are they going to put up thousands of these people?

How are they going to support them for however long it may take? And speaking of money, who is going to pay for these "free flights?"

How the h--- are they going to protect the citizens of Greece?

What the h--- are these people thinking / drinking / smoking?

I'm going to have to look around and see what else I can find on this.

HUNDREDS OF GERMANS ARE TRYING TO BRING TREASON CHARGES AGAINST ANGELA MERKEL OVER MIGRATION POLICY

OLIVER LANE 29 Oct 2015

GettyImages-493406332-640x480.png

Hundreds of Germans are attempting to bring criminal charges against Chancellor Angela Merkel, accusing her of treason by opening the borders of Germany to mass migration.

The Federal Prosecutors office in Karlsruhe, Germany, has received over 400 letters calling for it to open an investigation into Chancellor Merkel, the elected leader of the German government for high treason. The complaints cite the chancellor’s decision to open the borders of the nation to all comers in September, since when they claim “an unhindered flow of refugees have poured into Germany”.

Under German law, anyone who attempts to affect change to the German republic or damage the constitutional order by force or threat of force is guilty of high treason. The letter, of which dozens more are received by the state prosecutor every day and is reproduced by Compact magazine, insists the migrant flood satisfies the conditions, as demographic change is altering the existence of the republic.

In introducing the pro-forma letter, Compact offers a quote commonly misattributed to American founding father Thomas Jefferson justifying the action: “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty, before adding “now everything is at stake”.

Citing the German constitution, which in article 20 paragraph enshrines the right of Germans “to resist any person seeking to abolish this constitutional order, if no other remedy is available”, the call to action remarks that to “safeguard our identity” their goal is now “the overthrow of the chancellor”.

The forcing of migrants on communities, which involves the government seizing property such as parks, sports centres, and private dwellings to create asylum accommodation is a form of violence, the letter contends, making Chancellor Merkel’s actions genuinely treasonous.

Despite the carefully formulated argument and provision of evidence, the petitions for action may yet be thrown out by the court. Hard-left Taz newspaper reports the court is unlikely to accept that migrant violence constitutes an attempt by Chancellor Merkel to change the nature of Germany in a way that clearly violates the law.

These calls for Dr. Merkel to face criminal charges for her part in opening German to mass migration come among a backdrop of record low poll ratings for the chancellor, and increasingly fraught relations with her coalition partners.

The president of Bavaria has recently extended a hand of friendship to the Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban, a direct snub to the chancellor, and even contemplated building a border fence with Austria if she doesn’t shift her stance on mass migration.

While the chancellor’s poll ratings falter, the anti-mass migration Bavarian president’s own score has shot up 11 points – an indicator of the direction of travel for the German public which is starting to count the cost of mass migration.

Over 80% of asylum seekers in Germany unqualified - report

Over 80 percent of the asylum seekers recently arrived in Germany have no formal qualifications, and only eight percent have a college degree, local media reported citing research by the country's Federal Employment Agency.

Germany (population 80 million) may receive 1.5 million asylum seekers this year alone. It has already accepted more asylum applications than any other European nation, with a number of critics pointing to a high number of uneducated and illiterate people coming to the country.

The Federal Employment Agency has stated that 81 percent of asylum seekers are "without formal qualifications," the Junge Freiheit daily reported, citing a nine-page report entitled "Refugees in Germany: Take responsibility, identify opportunities."

— RT (@RT_com) October 29, 2015

The agency has reportedly calculated that due to the looming asylum crisis there will be at least 400,000 additional welfare recipients in the coming year.

Earlier this year, about 60 German universities offered refugees a chance to attend courses as guest students for free. In the past, asylum seekers had to pay a fee, unaffordable for most of them.

Having become the main destination for refugees fleeing conflict zones in the Middle East and North Africa, Germany has seen a new wave of Islamophobic and anti-migrant violence in recent months. The refugee crisis has driven a wedge between those who support asylum seekers and those strongly against them.
There has been a spike in hate crimes against refugees, with much far-right anger and criticism directed at Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to suspend the Dublin Regulation, which stipulates that migrants and refugees can only claim asylum at a German port of entry.

The migration crisis has given fresh impetus to the PEGIDA movement (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the Occident), whose activists took to the streets of Dresden earlier this week, in the wake of the latest plan to establish an additional 100,000 places in refugee reception centers in the EU and the Balkans. The demonstration was met by around 1,500 counter-protesters.

The protest on Monday came just one week after thousands of PEGIDA supporters flooded central Dresden to mark the anniversary of the organization’s founding.

PEGIDA (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the Occident) supporters gathered for a “great evening stroll” to convene at the theater square, Sachsische Zeitung reported. Activists accompanied by police marched with flags and a placard depicting Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel wearing hijab.

More than 12,000 people gathered together, according to organizers. Lutz Bachmann, the founder of the anti-immigration movement based in Dresden, opened the rally. Speaking to the crowd he discussed direct democracy and the government's refugee policy.

The nationalist PEGIDA demonstration was met by around 1,500 counter-protesters, although police kept the two sides separate so as to avoid clashes. More than 450 officers were deployed in the city to keep security under control.

Germany has experienced a wave of Islamophobic and anti-migrant violence in recent months after it started to emerged as the main destination for refugees fleeing conflict zones in Syria and elsewhere.

Monday’s protest comes exactly one week after thousands of PEGIDA supporters flooded central Dresden to mark the one-year anniversary since the organization’s founding. The latest rally also follows a 17-point action plan announced on Sunday, established after an extraordinary meeting at the European Commission. It includes the creation of 100,000 places to accommodate migrants along the route from Greece to Germany.

AS IKEA KILLINGS TRIAL BEGINS, SWEDISH ESTABLISHMENT FIGURES CLING TO THE ‘IT WASN’T TERRORISM’ LINE

OLIVER LANE 28 Oct 2015

The trial of 36-year-old Abraham Ukbagabir started in Vasteras, Sweden today, the Eritrean migrant charged with the murder of two Swedish citizens inside an IKEA store in August.

Now out of hospital, where he has been recovering since trying to kill himself after killing 55-year-old Carolin Herlin and her 28-year-old son Emil Herlin, Ukbagabir denies murder. Speaking in court the failed asylum seeker, who went directly to IKEA after being told he would be deported from Sweden, admitted only manslaughter while insisting he didn’t mean to kill anyone.

Defending his actions, Ukbagabir explained his motives were political, and that he wanted to bring peace by stabbing two innocent people in a furniture store. Explaining he felt the Swedish state had committed a “crime” against him by refusing his asylum application, he took action in revenge.

Despite the clear political motive for violence — the very core of what makes terrorism — Sweden is still desperately hanging on to the belief it was anything but.

Breitbart London has already reported on the unusual standards on political violence presently prevailing in Sweden, which makes a politically motivated stabbing at a school by a white man terrorism, but a politically motivated stabbing at a shop by a black man just plain murder.

One of Sweden’s most prominent columnists, the Anglo-Swedish Afton Bladet writer Oisín
Cantwell has put himself at the heart of this debate, first calling the school attack “the worst terrorist attack in Sweden since 1940″, before doubling-down today on the IKEA killer Ukbagabir.

In his Wednesday column, Mr. Cantwell explains that Abraham Ukbagabir is not a terrorist, reiterating the old defence of political killers, that “one man’s political assassin is another’s freedom fighter”. His writing implies that one day, the world will see the IKEA killer as a hero, not a murderer: “The ANC was according to the United States a terrorist organisation until 2008. A few years later, Nelson Mandela died as a grandfather to the world”.

The final hearing of evidence for the murder trial of Abraham Ukbagabir will be heard on Friday.

NOW AUSTRIA PLANS TO BUILD A FENCE TO THWART EUROPE’S MARCH OF MUSLIM MIGRANTS

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...d-fence-thwart-europes-march-muslim-migrants/

SIMON KENT 28 Oct 2015

ap_ap-photo1859-wi-1024x7682-640x480.jpg

Austria will build a fence along its border with European Union (EU) neighbour Slovenia to help stem the migrant invasion now flooding Europe, Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner said today. Both countries are part of the passport-free Schengen zone and remain key transit countries for hundreds of thousands of mostly young, Muslim men trying to reach northern Europe via the Balkans.

Slovenia, the main entry point into Austria, also said it was ready to build a fence, meaning the two countries will follow Hungary in trying to seal their frontiers, thus threatening to block the land route used by migrants from the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa now invading Europe.

According to nachrichten news service, Austria’s interior minister, Johanna Mikl-Leitner, told parliament construction of “technical barriers” would begin after about 10 days of planning but gave no exact date for work on the project to begin.

In separate comments to the state broadcaster ORF, she spoke of the need for a fence to maintain public order. The defence minister, Gerald Klug, said containers or railings could be set up to “to control the refugees in an orderly way”.

Mikl-Leitner insisted there were no plans “to build a fence around Austria” but with as many as 8,000 migrants entering Austria each day, the southern crossing at Spielfeld, across the border with Slovenia, has been overwhelmed by the crush.

Elsewhere in Europe the story is the same. As Breitbart London has reported, there has been no shortage of warnings that the great migrant surge engulfing Europe is being used as a cover by Islamist groups to smuggle trained fighters into Europe to wage jihad.

The only option left for countries along the migrant path to ensure their national security is to build fences and opt for harsher screening measures for arrivals.

Germany has already tightened its security protocols. Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere announced today that many of the Afghans pouring into the country will likely be sent back to their homeland after they can be separated from Syrian claimants.

At a mini-summit of 11 European leaders on the Balkan route on Sunday, Slovenia and the countries further south on the migration route—Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia and Greece—agreed to set up shelter facilities for a total of 100,000 people, half of them in Greece, as countries struggle to feed, clothe and house the arrivals.

At the Sunday summit, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he was “just an observer” at the meeting, saying his country had solved the problem of economic migrants flooding his country and offered to give advice to other countries on how to build fences of their own.

On the evidence Austria and Slovenia have taken that advice.

LEAK: 81 PER CENT OF MIGRANTS TO GERMANY ARE UNSKILLED, GOVERNMENT PREDICTS 400,000 NEW WELFARE CLAIMANTS

Migrant-Europe-640x480.jpg

Germany will import 1.2 million completely unskilled migrants this year, many of whom will go straight onto unemployment benefits, according to a leaked government document.

The Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit, BA) October migration estimates document outlined a number of key statistics previously not in the public domain.

Among the revelations is that fact over 80 per cent of migrants have no qualifications, the majority are under the age of 45, and the agency expects 400,000 new benefit claimants next year to be migrants.

Leaked to the German weekly anti-establishment paper Junge Freiheit this week, but ignored by the national mainstream media, the document optimistically insists that despite the enormous cost of migrants to the country it was good news. Writ-large across the last slide of the presentation, they claim: “The integration of refugees is a chance for BA and society as a whole. But all must stand shoulder to shoulder”.

The golden opportunity for BA to turn the migrant crisis to its advantage may be one reason for their optimism. As the document explains, the sheer number of new unemployment benefit applications that will need processing and managing means the agency will have to employ 3,500 new staff.

The new claimants and the staff come with a cost, estimated to stand at €855 million next year (£620 million) in addition to the €35 billion already budgeted for 2016. The additional cost includes €640 million for benefit payments and €65 million for new staff — convenient empire building for the agency at a time of national crisis.

Germany-Migrant-Forecasts.jpg

A slide taken from the leaked German government forecasts showing infographics and statistics for the migrant crisis / Bundesagentur für Arbeit

Many of these new employees for the agency will be migrants – a neat fix to get new arrivals off the unemployment claimant count while still taking a salary from the state. The document even gives the experience of one such migrant, ‘Abdoulaye N.’, a 40-year-old from Niger, as an example of good practice.

Being funnelled through the agencies early intervention programme, he was found a job at the Dortmund office as a “mediation specialist” for his fellow refugees. Similar employment programmes exist in European basket-case Sweden, where the national migration agency is growing at a rate of 100 employees a month – many of which are freshly arrived migrants.

Many migrants will be more difficult to find jobs for – a fact the agency privately admits in the document. According to the figures laid out in infographics for the presentation, those arriving are overwhelmingly young and uneducated.

Just eight per cent of migrants have any kind of academic qualification, while 81 per cent have none at all. If Germany received 1.5 million migrants, as the present — if rapidly ascending — figure has it, that means some 1.2 million people will arrive in the country without a level of education even as high as a school leavers certificate.

The document also provides comparison between the age profiles of arriving migrants and native Germans. While in the ordinary population 32 per cent of citizens are between the ages of 15 and 35, among the migrant arrivals that figure is 73 per cent.

The figures strongly contradict previous claims by the German Federal Office For Migration And Refugees, which made the claim that arrivals were in fact on average more highly educated than their new German neighbours, not less.

Far from 90 per cent of migrants being educated, as has previously been claimed, these new figures seriously question the notion that Europe is being flooded with a new generation of ready to work doctors and lawyers.

When approached by Breitbart London for comment, the Federal Employment Agency confirmed the document was genuine but would not comment on how it came to be released, and insisted the information contained was not “secret”.

Uruguay will help Syrian refugees reach another country

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (AP) — After giving them sanctuary last year, Uruguay will now help a group of Syrian refugees reach another country, President Tabare Vazquez said Thursday.

The South American nation welcomed the 42 refugees fleeing Syria's civil war in October 2014. But they've been protesting outside the presidency since Monday, demanding authorities help them leave for other countries. They say Uruguay is too expensive and they have little economic opportunity there.

Vazquez said Uruguay has reached out to Lebanon because that's where the refugees would like to go. Since Lebanon is not willing to welcome them, his government is asking the five Syrian families to choose another country.

"Uruguay is going to do everything it can for the Syrians," Vazquez said. "We proposed to them that they freely choose the country where they want to go, and the government will talk with that country's authorities to see if they want to welcome them."

Vazquez denied claims by some of the refugees who said they were tricked or that Uruguay promised more than it could deliver. He said Uruguay "clearly stated the conditions" before they arrived.

The refugees lack passports from their home country, and cannot get Uruguayan ones because they are not citizens. Uruguay has provided them with local IDs and travel documents, but not all countries recognize them. In August, one of the families tried to travel to Serbia but was held for 23 days at the Istanbul airport. Ultimately they returned to Uruguay.

The Syrian families have been sleeping in front of the presidency building in protest.

Since civil war broke out in 2011, more than 4 million Syrians have fled the country, according to the United Nations.

UN Accuses Czech Republic of Violating Human Rights of Migrants

UN accuses Czech Republic of violating human rights of migrants

Refugees detained for up to 90 days, strip-searched and charged $14 a day for the privilege

Czech authorities have been detaining refuges for up to 90 days, strip-searching them and charging them money for their own detention, according to a critical report by the UN refugee.

(Petr David Josek/Associated Press)

UN human rights chief Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein accused the Czech Republic on Thursday of committing systematic human rights violations by detaining refugees for up to 90 days and strip-searching them for money to pay for their own detention.

Human rights violations "appear to be an integral part of a policy by the Czech government designed to deter migrants and refugees from entering the country or staying there," he said in a statement.

The Czech Republic lies to the north of the main migration routes taking refugees through the Balkans to Germany. It has seen only a fraction of the hundreds of thousands passing through Hungary and Austria on their flight from war or poverty.

Those who come through the Czech Republic have mostly been detained, some for weeks if authorities do not manage to return them to the country they arrived from. Very few claim asylum in the Czech Republic. Many continue their journey to Germany upon release.

The Czech government says the detentions are legal and they are continuously trying to improve conditions in the centres.

"We are improving conditions for refugees and we do not think that we are breaching any directives or rules that bind us by international treaties," Interior Minister Milan Chovanec told reporters in reaction to the UN statement.

"I expect that we will get a written report (from the UN) from which we will be able to define what (the criticism) is about."

'Islamophobic' statements

The Czechs voted last month in a small minority against quotas to distribute asylum seekers across the European Union, putting them on collision course with EU partners.

Al-Hussein expressed alarm that the country's detention policy was accompanied by increasingly xenophobic public statements, including "Islamophobic" statements by President Milos Zeman and a public petition "Against Immigration" launched by his predecessor Vaclav Klaus.

Czech President Milos Zeman has made Islamophobic inflammatory statements about refugees, saying they might bring terrorism, infectious diseases and Shariah law into the country. (Frank Franklin II/Associated Press)

Zeman rejected the criticism and his spokesman said: "The president has long warned of the threat of Islamic fundamentalism. He stands by his opinion, and he will not change it under pressure from abroad."

The Associated Press reported that Zeman has previously said that asylum-seekers might bring terrorism and infectious diseases and called for the deployment of the armed forces to protect the country's borders against them.

Al-Hussein singled out the Bela-Jezova centre where refugees are detained with their children. The Czech Republic's own ombudsman condemned conditions in the detention facility last week, saying they violate the UN's Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European Convention on Human Rights.

The UN refugee agency UNHCR says the vast majority of those making the northward journey from Turkey through Greece, often hoping to reach Germany, are refugees rather than economic migrants, and have a right to protection and asylum.

Migrants move past a chapel after crossing from Croatia into Slovenia Thursday.
After too many days and nights stuck outside in the rain and cold, tempers are fraying among the tens of thousands of migrants trying to get through the Balkans to the heart of Europe. Slovenia has requested help from the EU to deal with the influx. (Darko Bandic/Associated Press)

Most come from Syria, and Zeman has warned that they would impose Shariah law once they had reached their destination, stoning women to death for adultery and chopping thieves' hands off.

"We will lose women's beauty because they will be covered head to toe in burqas, with only a fabric net over the face," the CTK news agency quoted him as saying last week.

Zeman's views reflect those of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has vowed to protect Christian values by fighting to stem immigration from Muslim countries.

Detention should be last resort

The centre-left Czech government has not used similar rhetoric to that of the 71-year-old president but remains unique in detaining refugees for so long — routinely for 40 days and sometimes for 90, Al-Hussein said.

"International law is quite clear that immigration detention must be strictly a measure of last resort," he said. Detaining children "on the sole basis of their migration status, or that of their parents, is a violation, is never in their best interests, and is not justifiable," he said.

Courts had released people who had challenged their detention, but most did not know their rights and were unable to exercise them, partly because their mobile phones were taken away when they were detained, Al-Hussein said.

They were often destitute on their release after being strip-searched for money to pay the daily cost of 250 Czech crowns ($14 Cdn) for their detention, often in poor conditions, he said.

Slovenia still struggling with influx

Meanwhile, Slovenia has formally requested European Union aid in managing the influx of thousands of migrants crossing through on their way toward wealthy countries in Western Europe.

Interior Ministry official Bostjan Sefic said Thursday the request has been sent to the European Commission. He spoke hours ahead of a visit by European Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos.

Officials say more than 5,000 people arrived in Slovenia by noon on Thursday alone and more than 38,000 have come since Saturday, when Hungary closed its border with Croatia.

The tiny European nation of two million says it has been overwhelmed by the migrant influx and has called on the army to help police with border duties.

Czechs and other peoples of Central and Eastern Europe.......DON'T BACK DOWN FROM THIS CHALLENGE!!!!! This is a much worse version of what was cast upon the Central and Eastern European peoples defending themselves against the Islamic/Turk invasions in the Middle Ages and ending with the Battle at Vienna, when the Polish King Sobieski came to the rescue of the Austrians and most likely Rome itself. Despite the political intrigues of the French during that period of history, German, Austrian, Polish and other Eastern European nations stopped the advance of Islam. It may very well take another "Sobieski"/Putin to save Europe this time and this fight will be much harsher when it begins in earnest.

Don't forget "Chuck De Hammer" and his role at the gates of Vienna. Charles Martel was primarily credited to the victory there (and nobody REALLY knows WHY the Moors turned around that day. The Battle of Vienna (German: Schlacht am Kahlen Berge or Kahlenberg; Polish: bitwa pod Wiedniem or odsiecz wiedeńska; Modern Turkish: İkinci Viyana Kuşatması, Ottoman Turkish: Beç Ḳalʿası Muḥāṣarası) took place in Vienna on 11th and concluding on the 12th of September 1683[1][11] after the imperial city of Vienna had been besieged by the Ottoman Empire for two months. The battle was fought by the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nations in league with the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (Holy League) against the invading Muslim Ottoman Empire and chiefdoms of the Ottoman Empire, and took place at Kahlenberg Mountain near Vienna. The battle marked the first time Poland and the Holy Roman Empire had cooperated militarily against the Turks, and it is often seen as a turning point in history, after which "the Ottoman Turks ceased to be a menace to the Christian world".[12] In the ensuing war that lasted until 1698, the Turks lost almost all of Hungary to the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I.[12]

The battle was won by the combined forces of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nations and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, the latter represented only by the forces of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland. (The march of the Lithuanian army was delayed, and they reached Vienna after it had been relieved.)[13] The Viennese garrison was led by Ernst Rüdiger Graf von Starhemberg, an Austrian subject of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I. The overall command was held by the senior leader, the King of Poland, John III Sobieski, who led the Polish forces.

Generally King Sobieski is said to have been decisive in winning the battle, along with many others of course. Charles Martel did other heroic deeds, in the 8th century, and I wish I knew more, I'll have to read now.

Orban Accuses Soros of Stoking Refugee Wave to Weaken Europe

Andras Gergely
October 30, 2015 — 3:59 AM EDT
Bloomberg

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban accused billionaire investor George Soros of being a prominent member of a circle of "activists" trying to undermine European nations by supporting refugees heading to the continent from the Middle East and beyond.

"His name is perhaps the strongest example of those who support anything that weakens nation states, they support everything that changes the traditional European lifestyle," Orban said in an interview on public radio Kossuth. "These activists who support immigrants inadvertently become part of this international human-smuggling network."

Rights groups have criticized Orban for building a razor-wire fence on the border, tightening asylum laws and boosting his support among voters with anti-immigrant rhetoric. Soros, who was born in Hungary and is one of the biggest philanthropists in eastern Europe via his foundations and university, gives grants to organizations that provide legal assistance to asylum seekers.

HUNGARIAN BORDER FENCE SO EFFECTIVE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE NOW AT PRE MIGRANT-CRISIS LEVELS

OLIVER LANE 29 Oct 2015

The Hungarian border fence has been a remarkable success, according to new figures made public by Viktor Orban’s homeland security chief this week.

The new border fences, which closed off Hungary from Serbia in September and continued around the border, finally cutting the country off from unwanted incursions from Croatia earlier this month have been so successful the number of illegal migrants has dropped off the charts.

While last month up to 10,000 migrants a day illegally crossed into Hungary, now border controls have been fully implemented, that number has fallen to dozens per day. Dr. Gyorgy Bakondi, chief adviser for homeland security to prime minister Viktor Orban was on hand to give viewers of a popular Hungarian evening television chat show this week a low down of just how successful the fence had been last night.

Describing the sudden end of the migration crisis for Hungary as it rages in neighbouring nations who have decided to take no action to defend themselves Mr. Bakondi said illegal numbers were now well below those arriving in “peace time” — before the migrant criss began.

Hungary-Illegals-October-300x199.jpg

Reeling the latest statistics off, Mr. Bakondi told viewers that on Monday this week 12 illegals had crossed into Hungary, on Tuesday seven came, and on Wednesday the number was four, as of 6pm when the show started. He said even historically, these figures were “significantly small numbers”, reports popular conservative Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet.

It wasn’t just the fence that allowed Hungary to control who came and went from the nation, said Mr. Bakondi, but it was a whole package of “border policing”, including the fence, the police and troops defending it, and effective law backing them up. This he called a “triple defence”.

The sudden cut-off for migrants entering Hungary, going from 6,353 to 29 a day in just a week after completing the fence may offer some cheer to conservatives in other European nations who now have a stark example of how effective actually policing national borders can be.

It may have already triggered jealousy in some neighbouring nations. Austria, which until very recently was criticising Hungary’s approach to the migrant crisis in the strongest possible terms, with chancellor Werner Faymann making comparisons to the Nazis. Now, just weeks after Hungary’s fence investment started paying dividends, they have announced plans to build their own against Slovenia.

Mr. Bakondi’s Hungarian example comes as former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott ribbed European leaders for having no control over their borders, a feat he easily achieved in his home nation by simple policing and ‘turn backs’. Speaking at the Second Annual Margaret Thatcher Gala dinner in the City of London, Mr. Abbott told a crowd of Conservative Party MPs and supporters that:

“All countries that say ‘anyone who gets here can stay here’ are now in peril, given the scale of the population movements that are starting to be seen. There are tens, perhaps hundreds, of millions of people living in poverty and danger who might readily seek to enter a Western country if the opportunity is there.

“Who could blame them? Yet no country or continent can open its borders to all comers without fundamentally weakening itself. This is the risk countries of Europe now run through misguided altruism”.

Mr. Abbott told the crowd strong borders and a strong defence were key to a nation’s prosperity, and introducing border controls now were essential to ” prevent a tide of humanity surging through Europe and quite possibly changing it forever”.

ORBAN: ‘THE PEOPLE OF EUROPE ARE BEGINNING TO WAKE UP’

http://www.breitbart.com/london/2015/10/30/orban-people-europe-beginning-wake/

OLIVER LANE 30 Oct 2015

Viktor-Orban-Getty-640x480.jpeg

The people of Europe — if not their politicians — are waking up to the fact that mass migration is a cultural, rather than just economic issue, said Viktor Orban on Radio Budapest this morning.

Speaking on the daily 180-minute early-morning current affairs chat show, the Hungarian prime minister praised the awakening conciousness of ordinary European people, and castigated their leaders for not daring to speak the truth.

As well as addressing domestic issues — house building, cutting taxes, and reforms to prevent foreign investors buying up vast swathes of the country as they have done in other European Union (EU) nations such as the United Kingdom — the Hungarian leader also spoke about Europe’s asylum problem. Mr. Orban refused to refer to the crisis as a migration problem in the interview, calling it instead an “invasion”.

Mr. Orban pulled absolutely no punches in lashing out at the fundamentally undemocratic way the EU has dealt with the invasion (“inváziónak”). Referring to the arbitrary opening of Europe’s borders to millions of migrants, and the forced relocation of these people to European member states in numbers they have no control over, Mr. Orban asked:

“It really begs the question. When and who voted on the Europe that allows millions of people to enter illegally, and then distribute them? Such a decision was never taken at an election, so today’s events lack any sort of democratic foundation.

“Today there is an orderly, legitimate progress towards a state of anarchy in the European Union.”

As well as allowing jihadist infiltrators from groups such as the Islamic State to smuggle themselves into Europe among the throngs of unchecked migrants entering the continent, Europe was also importing Middle East-specific conflicts.

Deadly street battles between Turks and Kurds are now a common occurrence in many European countries, as Breitbart London has reported regularly in the past year. From murder by auto-mobile in Switzerland, to mass brawls in Germany, to thrown bombs at protests in Sweden, many migrants to European have shown themselves to be completely unwilling to leave their grievances at home.

And all of that when migrants aren’t too busy raping or robbing their native hosts.

Mr. Orban is in a strong position to judge the performance of other European nations in the migrant invasion. Neighbouring countries are flooded with illegal migrants lured by northern European states like Sweden begging for more to come, but Mr. Orban’s Hungary has completed its border fence.

As reported by Breitbart London this morning, the completion of the project reduced illegal incursions from 10,000 a day to just a dozen or fewer.

SWEDEN ‘FACING COLLAPSE’ THANKS TO MIGRANT INFLUX, FOREIGN MINISTER WARNS

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...thanks-migrant-influx-foreign-minister-warns/

DONNA RACHEL EDMUNDS 31 Oct 2015

Sweden is facing collapse thanks to the recent huge influx of migrants into the country, the Swedish foreign minister has said. As 190,000 migrants this year alone pour into the country, law and order is beginning to break down as the country plays witness to numerous arson attacks, stabbings and gang rapes.

The Swedish foreign minister Margot Wallstrom has warned that Sweden, a country of just 9.8 million people, cannot continue to take migrants at the present rate without services breaking down. In an interview, Mrs Wallstrom said: “I think most people feel that we cannot maintain a system where perhaps 190,000 people will arrive every year – in the long run, our system will collapse.

“And that welcome is not going to receive popular support.”

She has called on other European Union member states to take on more migrants in a bid to relieve pressure within her own country, but said: “I have to admit that there have been moments recently of very great disappointment. I have heard statements from member states that have been completely astonishing and very discouraging.”

Once thought of as one of Europe’s most peaceful nations, Sweden is rapidly becoming a fragmented nation, at war with itself. Almost 26.8 per cent of the population is now foreign born or has at least one foreign born parent. With no way to assimilate such large numbers, the outcome has been the creation of ghettos in which crime and extremism are allowed to flourish.

Malmo, which just two years ago played host to that most unifying of events, the Eurovision Song Contest, now has “no-go zones.” Last month, retired Chief Superintendent Torsten Elofsson told Breitbart London: “We have a number of no-go-zones in Sweden and they are expanding… police can go to these places, but you have to take precautions.

“Years ago you could go with two officers, no problem. Now you have to send four officers and two cars – if the fire brigade want to go, they have to take a police escort. They throw stones and try to stop the fireman from putting out fires.”

He added: “Of the number of people arrested and dragged into police stations, the majority are of foreign origin to be honest. There is an over-representation of violent crimes committed by people from other countries”.

The city has also seen grenade attacks similar in style to those seen in the middle east, gang rapes, and fatal shootings.

Two similar knife attacks, each of which claimed two victims, open a window into the cancer of liberalism eating away at the heart of Sweden: while a random stabbing of a Swedish mother and her son in Ikea by an Eritrean migrant who was angry at having his asylum claim refused was swept under the carpet by the establishment; yet the deaths of an immigrant teaching assistant and student by a native Swede frustrated by immigration were lamented by the media, politicians, and even the King, and labelled racist terrorism.

The downward spiral has been tracked over the past few years by The Sweden Report, run by an anonymous Swedish-American blogger.

“Today, it’s as if the inmates are running the asylum,” he posted recently. “The politicians are participating in a chicken race of “goodness” where everybody tries to one-up each other in caring for the citizens of OTHER countries while Swedish retirees, school children, handicapped and other vulnerable categories of people are thoroughly ignored. Violence is exploding. Jihadist Trojan horses are flowing through the porous border along with the tens of thousands ID-less refugees.

“There simply is no possible way to absorb and assimilate such volumes of people, period. You are merely creating ethnic enclaves, which due to incompatible language, culture and job skills become ghettos, which in turns brews crime, misery and extremism. Once the inflow has exceeded the capacity for absorbtion, further immigration only makes the problem worse.

“When I was a child, Sweden was a dull yet very safe place to live. Yes, there was a heavy blanket of socialism and collectivist values covering everything, but there was a core of pragmatism beneath the redness.

“[Now] I am leaving Sweden for good, and will no longer be following its descent from what was once the third most prosperous country in the world. Frankly, it’s just too damn depressing.”

VIKTOR ORBÁN SLAMS GEORGE SOROS AGAIN: WELL-FUNDED ACTIVISTS ARE CAUSING THE MIGRANT CRISIS

SARKIS ZERONIAN 30 Oct 2015

Firebrand Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán (above) has, for the second time during Europe’s migrant crisis, lashed out at billionaire George Soros who he says is responsible for the continent-wide epidemic.

Mr. Orbán was interviewed on Hungarian radio this morning. He blamed the likes of Mr. Soros – a massive funder of pro-migration groups across the world – for attracting what he described as an invasion of migrants to the continent, reports Der Spiegel.

He said: “This invasion is driven, on the one hand, by people smugglers, and on the other by those (human rights) activists who support everything that weakens the nation-state.

“This Western mindset and this activist network is perhaps best represented by George Soros.”

Mr. Soros uses his billions to promote his worldview in over 100 countries. He funds a global network of foundations, initiatives, projects and partners to promote his particular vision of an enlarged European Union and a world with no borders.

As Breitbart London previously reported, he believes groups funded by Mr. Soros “are drawing a living from the immigration crisis”. His Open Society Foundations, which provide endless streams of pro-migration talking heads for news outlets, are a case in point.

The Open Society Institute–Budapest (OSF) has helped activists working with migrants on issues “affecting the safety and well-being of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers”. Despite the return to relative peace and stability seen in Hungary following decisions taken by Mr. Orbán, it has repeatedly condemned his government’s rhetoric and the sealing of borders to migrants. The OSF website explains:

“We believe that migration and asylum policy should be grounded in economic and demographic realities, not driven by temporary political considerations or popular misconceptions. In Europe, many of our civil society partners are raising their voices demanding a common European approach in line with international human rights commitments. We also support legal action aimed at ensuring governments meet their obligations under international law to treat all migrants with dignity, and offer them asylum when circumstances dictate.”

As far as Mr. Orbán is concerned migration policy is in fact being driven by what he calls America’s “naked national and imperial interests”. In the past he has also identified financial self-interest as a motive of Western groups promoting migration.

MERKEL CALLS CRISIS MEETING ON MIGRANT INVASION AS GERMAN UNITY FRACTURES

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...n-migrant-invasion-as-german-unity-fractures/

SIMON KENT 31 Oct 2015

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called an emergency meeting of coalition leaders after Bavarian Premier Horst Seehofer demanded she stem the flow of migrants entering the country.

The meeting is set to turn on new initiatives for controlling the flood and deal with the critical situation on the Austrian border, where thousands of migrants are flocking into Germany on a daily basis.

At the same time Mrs. Merkel announced the meeting with Mr Seehofer, set down for later today, she pleaded for patience, saying that there were no quick fixes to the crisis. The Süddeutsche Zeitung reports that the pair will meet with Social Democratic Party (SPD) head Sigmar Gabriel on Sunday.

Mr Seehofer, who is head of the Christian Social Union (CSU), sister party to Mrs. Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) had earlier demanded that the government change course immediately. Since the beginning of August at least 318,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Bavaria, Germany’s south-eastern most state.

The Bavarian minister-president has constantly called for emergency measures to deal with the influx, including setting a cap on the number Germany will let in and building border reception centres to screen incoming migrants before they set foot in the country.

He has gone as far as to threaten to take the federal government to the German constitutional court.

As Mrs. Merkel seeks to defuse the political unrest over her open-door policy, she also confronts waning public approval for her insistence that Germany has an obligation to welcome any and all migrants from the Middle East. Backing for her CDU slipped two points to 36 per cent this week, down from an August peak of 43 per cent, according to a weekly poll carried out by Forsa.

Meanwhile Germany agreed with Austria on Friday to new rules for a more “orderly” passage of migrants.

After a week in which tensions flared between the neighbour states, Germany’s interior ministry said that the people massing at its border with Austria would now be funnelled through five entry points.

“We would like to have a more orderly procedure,” a spokeswoman for the interior ministry told AFP following a bilateral agreement which took immediate effect.

Masked attackers beat 2 Syrian asylum seekers with baseball bats in Wismar, Germany, say police in nearby Rostock - @AP

*snip*

1:20 p.m.

Police say two Syrian asylum seekers were beaten with baseball bats by several masked attackers in the eastern German town of Wismar on the Baltic Sea.

Police in nearby Rostock said Sunday that the Syrian men, who were not identified, were standing outside their shelter on Saturday night when the group started harassing and beating them. The attackers then fled and the two asylum seekers had to be taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.

Police have not been able to track down or identify the attackers yet and did not say how many people were involved in the attack.

Attacks against asylum-seekers and migrant shelters have increased sharply in Germany in recent months as refugees surge into Europe.

GERMANY'S EXTREMISM WARNING

German intelligence agencies warn that the huge influx of migrants to the country will include those with extremist views and very different values, it has been reported.

A security document has warned of the damaging consequences of Berlin’s open-door policy which is expected to see around one million enter the country this year alone.

It read: ‘We are importing Islamic extremism, Arab anti-Semitism, national and ethnic conflicts of other peoples as well as a different societal and legal understanding.’

Security sources also fear the integration of migrants ‘is no longer possible’ because so many already live in insular communities.

The document from the country’s four principal security and intelligence services, seen by German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, added: ‘German security agencies... will not be in the position to solve these imported security problems and thereby the arising reactions from Germany’s population.’

A senior official warned: ‘Mainstream civil society is radicalising because the majority don’t want migration and they are being forced by the political elite.’

OCTOBER’S MIGRANT FLOW MATCHED WHOLE OF 2014, NO SIGN OF WINTER DECLINE

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...ched-whole-of-2014-no-sign-of-winter-decline/

REUTERS 2 Nov 2015

GENEVA, Nov 2 – The number of migrants and refugees entering Europe by sea last month was roughly the same as for the whole of 2014, United Nations refugee agency UNHCR said on Monday.

The monthly record of 218,394 also outstripped September’s 172,843, UNHCR spokesman Adrian Edwards said.

“That makes it the highest total for any month to date and roughly the same as the entire total for 2014,” he said. The UNHCR puts 2014 arrivals by sea at about 219,000.

“It also shows the just astonishing amount of arrivals in just a few days during the course of the month. The month peaked at 10,006 (arrivals in Greece alone) on a single day, on Oct. 20.”

The vast majority of refugees and migrants to Europe have travelled via Turkey to Greece, a switch from the previously more popular African route via Libya to Italy.

The top nationality are Syrian, accounting for 53 percent of arrivals, as a result of the civil war that has driven hundreds of thousands from their homes.

[NO FORGED DOCUMENTS????? ]

Afghans come second, making up 18 percent of the total.

The flow of refugees into Europe, however, is still dwarfed by the numbers in Syria’s neighbours. Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan have Syrian refugee numbers exceeding 2 million, 1 million and 600,000 respectively.

UNHCR said in October that it was planning for up to 700,000 refugees in Europe this year and a similar or greater number in 2016.
But that plan has already been eclipsed, with 744,000 arriving so far. Some 3,440 are estimated to have died or gone missing in the attempt to escape to Europe.

Migration experts had expected the number of people making the hazardous journey by sea to dwindle as winter approached, but the boats have continued to arrive.

The Greek coastguard said on Monday that four refugees drowned and another six were missing off the Greek island of Farmakonisi after their boat sank.

Four people were rescued. Eleven people, including six infants, drowned on Sunday when their boat capsized off the island of Samos, trapping them in the cabin.

SOROS ADMITS INVOLVEMENT IN MIGRANT CRISIS: ‘NATIONAL BORDERS ARE THE OBSTACLE’

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...ant-crisis-national-borders-are-the-obstacle/

NICK HALLETT 2 Nov 2015

Billionaire investor George Soros has confirmed he wants to bring down Europe’s borders, following the accusation made last week by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Last week, Mr Orban accused Mr Soros – who was born in Hungary – of deliberately encouraging the migrant crisis.

“This invasion is driven, on the one hand, by people smugglers, and on the other by those (human rights) activists who support everything that weakens the nation-state,” Mr Orban said.

“This Western mindset and this activist network is perhaps best represented by George Soros.”

Mr Soros has now issued an email statement to Bloomberg Business, claiming his foundations help “uphold European values”, while Mr Oban’s actions in strengthening the Hungarian border and stopping a huge migrant influx “undermine those values.”

“His plan treats the protection of national borders as the objective and the refugees as an obstacle,” Mr Soros added. “Our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle.”

Last month, Mr Orban accused pro-immigration non-governmental organisations (NGOs) of “drawing a living from the immigration crisis,” singling out those funded by Mr Soros.

George Soros is a firm backer of transnational bodies such as the European Union, and his Open Society Foundation (OSF) provides assistance for pro-migration activists. He is well-known for his support for “progressive” causes such as the Centre for American Progress, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

[Search for "Key Wiki Soros" and you will find the hundreds of orgs he funds. All evil.]

The OSF website explains: “We believe that migration and asylum policy should be grounded in economic and demographic realities, not driven by temporary political considerations or popular misconceptions.

“In Europe, many of our civil society partners are raising their voices demanding a common European approach in line with international human rights commitments.”

Mr Orban said in an interview last month that immigration and multiculturalism are endangering Europe’s “Christian roots” and creating “parallel societies”.

Europeans, he said, should “stick to our Christian values” and “Europe can be saved,” but only if they “take seriously the traditions, the Christian roots and all the values that are the basis of the civilisation of Europe.”

AUSTRIAN MIGRANT POLICY PROTESTS BRING DEMANDS FOR BORDER FENCES

An estimated 600 patriots marched on the Austrian border with Slovenia yesterday to protest the lack of border controls, and demand the government start building a fence.

The group, which chanted slogans coined by the Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA) movement in Dresden was escorted by police from the railhead at Spielfeld to the very border with Slovenia.

Police broke up a small counter-demonstration of some 20 anti-borders, pro-migration individuals as the main protest marched to ensure they had a clean run. Determined the protesters were not to meet with the object of their march, 80 army and privately owned buses, and two specially chartered trains were brought into the Spielfeld area to take migrants away before the demonstration could get under-way.

Shouting slogans calling for the resignation of the Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann, who recently compared Hungary’s border fence to Nazism, the group of 5-600 protesters walked two kilometres to the border. There, they called for the government to start work on a fence to protect Austria immediately, and to help those fleeing from conflicts closer to their homes, rather than inviting them into the heart of Europe, reports Nachrichten.at.

Active in Austria, Germany, Italy, and France as well as other European countries, the movement advocates appreciation and preservation of distinct European cultural and ethnic groups, as well as traditional conservative values.

Individuals associated with the movement have been increasingly visible during the European migrant crisis, which Identarian banners appearing at PEGIDA marches, organising protests in Austria, and even sending a team of volunteers to the Hungarian border to perform voluntary maintenance work on the European border fence.

The idea of actually building a fence around the southern Austrian border has suddenly developed from the desire of the right-wing fringe to mainstream, as politicians in the country have faced up to reality and come to understand the utility of the project. Breitbart London reported this week that construction would begin soon, but no concrete dates have been given, nor specific plans.

To save face, the Austrian government — which has long condemned the idea of erecting a fence — has refused to call it as such, referring to the project instead as a “barrier” or even more tortuously, a “security construction”. Austria’s interior minister has even gone on record about her distaste of the word, telling journalists “if it is possible to avoid the word ‘fence’ from a technical point of view, then that’s fine by me”.

Since Hungary completed the border fence with Croatia and Serbia, Slovenia has become the main point of entry for migrants taking the Balkan route into Europe, as they move up the Dalmatian coast, through Austria, and onwards to Germany. Breitbart London reported on the extraordinary scenes seen on the Croatia-Slovenia border last week, as Croatian police worked to rid the country of transitory migrants as quickly as possible.

Bringing a trainload of thousands very nearly to the Slovenia border by cover of night, police led a column of people away from the station and down to the river, where the illegals could travel onto Slovenia by an unprotected border crossing.

Unfortunately for the Croatian police conducting the clandestine move, every moment of the operation was caught on heat-sensitive camera by a Slovenian police helicopter. Slovenia has now deployed the army and armoured personnel carriers to the border to help control the flow of migrants north.

Official: Afghanistan will accept all Afghans deported from Germany

KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghanistan will take back all its citizens being deported from Germany as the European country struggles to accommodate hundreds of thousands of refugees and other migrants who have arrived there this year, a Kabul official said.

Afghans currently make up the second largest nationality, after Syrians, arriving in Europe. So far this year, an estimated 120,000 Afghans have left the country, legally and illegally, according to authorities. The International Organization of Migration says more than 76,000 Afghans have migrated to Europe so far in 2015.

Germany, a longtime contributor to international forces in Afghanistan and with currently 944 soldiers in NATO's support and training mission there, has increasingly been feeling the pressure of the rising numbers of people coming in.

Last week, Germany's interior minister complained of an "unacceptable" influx of Afghans from relatively safe areas of their country, and warned that many of them would have to return home. The minister, Thomas de Maiziere, said Afghans arriving in Germany included "increasing numbers of members of the middle class — including many from Kabul."

It isn't clear how many Afghans Germany might try to send back. However, German officials have been keen to stress that only people genuinely fleeing war and persecution are entitled to asylum, and that economic migrants must leave the country. Fewer than half of the Afghans who apply for asylum in Germany are granted it.

As a signatory to the Geneva Convention, Afghanistan is obliged to accept its citizens whose asylum applications have been rejected, deputy presidential spokesman Zafar Hashemi said, adding that President Ashraf Ghani and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed the issue recently.

Afghan Minister for Refugees and Repatriation Hossain Alemi Balkhi has disapproved of Germany's decision to return the Afghans, saying in a recent interview with The Associated Press that Kabul is "against the forced exile of any people from any country back to where they came from."

"The problem that caused them to leave Afghanistan in the first place has not been solved — there is still war, conflict, insecurity," he said.

However, the minister's international adviser, Rohullah Hashimi, said Monday that Ghani's decision will be implemented and that a reintegration plan for voluntary refugees would be extended to deportees.

Migrant crisis pushing Germany towards ‘anarchy and civil war’

https://www.rt.com/op-edge/320651-germany-refugees-crisis-bavaria/

Published time: 3 Nov, 2015 15:10

Germany now is somewhere at the edge of anarchy and sliding towards civil war, or to become a banana republic without any government, says Hansjoerg Mueller of the Alternative for Germany party.
Bavarian official Peter Dreier called German Chancellor Angela Merkel to tell her personally that if Germany welcomes a million refugees, his town of Landshut will only take in around 1,800. Any extra will be put on buses and sent to her Chancellery in Berlin.

RT: He says he's going to send them to Berlin, but does he have the power?

Hansjoerg Mueller: The person who wants to send them to Berlin is Mr. Dreier. He is the district head of Landshut, a town close to Munich. Usually he does not have the power, but we are not living in usual times. What we are now looking at is more and more Germany sliding towards anarchy. In this situation I think less and less is determined by law, more and more is determined by who acts. And the person who acts in fact has the power. So if he sends ... refugees to Berlin, he sends them!

RT: Will threats like this one be able to affect Merkel’s policy?

HM: I hope so, because Germany now is somewhere at the edge of anarchy and sliding towards civil war, or to become a banana republic without any government. I hope that this threat will have some effect, but knowing the psychological things that Merkel does all these days – I don’t believe in it, unfortunately.

RT: Do you think Bavaria will be the only region that says something like this, or do you expect other regions to follow?

HM: Yes, of course, Bavaria is the first region because we are affected the most – we are living on the border to Austria where the influx of refugees stems from. But the second regions of Germany where this happens are Saxony and Thuringia. First of all, they have also borders to the Czech Republic, that’s the first reason. And the second reason is that in former Eastern Germany people are still aware of what it is living in a dictatorship. They are feeling quite well that our so-called democracy is sliding more and more towards a totalitarian state. This is my personal explanation why… the demonstrations in Thuringia and in Saxony are so fierce in their movements.

RT: Only allowing 1,800 desperate refugees to stay when more than a million are expected nationally, doesn't seem all that fair does it. Surely the region should do its bit?

HM: No, this number of 1,800 refugees does not affect only Bavaria. Bavaria can take much more. It affects only the district around the town of Landshut, and the town of Landshut has more or less 50,000 inhabitants and having nearly 2,000 refugees to meddle with the original population – this is quite a big burden. So Bavaria can take more, but not towns like Landshut.

From post #517,

This reads like it can be illegal for Afghans to leave Afghanistan. Is that true? Do some of them actually need permission to leave?

Any extra migrants will be sent to her office in Berlin by bus.
Last week Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer told Chancellor Merkel she must end her open door policies.
