I think folks underestimate the impact to the economy.
This is not going to be anything like 2008.

True, the adverse effects are many, many scales of magnitude worse.

Just saw this morning's figures. We're now up to about 10 million lost jobs.

ANYONE STILL THINK THE SHUTDOWN IS A GOOD PLAN??

Hmmm! I seem to have read of employees striking right now because they consider their work place dangerous.

What do you think they would be doing if the death rate were 3x+ higher which included people working right alongside you,, corpses stacked in hospital hallways, people sobbing because Jethro couldn't get into a hospital for treatment of his heart attack, all on national TEEVEE.

I am not too sure things would be that much different.

People that choose self-imposed isolation should have that right and some individuals should even be supported to do this. Everyone else should be allowed to rattle along, doing the best we can to keep the economy up and running so that the CFR isn't any worse that it has to be.

I guess there is a lot less of it running around in the USofA than I thought. Right now they are in the midst of the biggest heist in history …. theft of the Constitutional Rights of the US Citizen. Once stolen they aren't coming back.

I seem to recall those strikers were looking for PPE more than discharge.
