COMM Ebola sighting thread

Would it be possible, or even a good idea, to post a sticky and start a thread, relating to Ebola cases locally? The MSM will probably not be a good source but very likely we here may get local info, then post any local cases, and keep track of the spread.

For what it is worth:
Maybe a separate Ebola forum. with threads for each location. and separate threads for the variety of special interest topics.
For example, Hawaii had a suspected out break which was cancelled after a day or so. So when the all clear is given, it can be closed.

I'll leave that decision to Dennis. Separate Forums are a PITA to set-up but it MAY be worth it in this case. I believe we already have an Infectious Disease sub-forum that could probably be re-purposed for Ebola.

We should keep any such subforum readble by lurkers. That's a must IMO.

As to a dedicated room, if this keeps ramping up like it has been over the country and the world, perhaps such a room is warranted.

I hope so. My original suggestion (before I added the interactive one) was for an individual thread per state and a separate one for each large metro area that had cases. Someone else suggested the separate forum for those threads so they wouldn't roll off main and would be easy to locate.

I hope Dennis decides it is worth it.

I think an Ebola sub-forum would be great All of the ebola threads could be moved there and new threads could be started there. It would keep everything together for easy reading and locating threads when you want to reference an older thread.

wouldn't that just be hearsay unless the poster had eyes on the victim? none of this friend of a friend of a friend's uncle's wife's cousin said.........

I don't want hearsay, I want facts
