My late DH always told me we can do all this, and more, NOW. By the time it trickles down to the public, know it's "alive" well and in daily use in many shadowy corners of this world- I find myself hoping the rats or chimps can rise up and rule the world, I trust them far more than man.

Your late DH was absolutely correct. The information in the video only gave a glimpse into some amazing advances in neuro-tech and gene altering technology. And should the lunatics that run this asylum continue to abuse these breakthroughs, humanity as we know it now will cease to exist. If we would harness this knowledge for good, the world could be transformed into a paradise for all of us. That said, while I'm inclined to be a dreamer, I'm also a realist and am not optimistic about our future. And I have to agree with you that chimps would likely do a better job of running things than the current crop of humans....
