ADMIN Did you end up banned from TB without notice? Here might be why (and what to do about it)

We have an ex-member who was much-beloved, who ultimately got banned after OVER FOUR PAGES (at 40 per page) of infractions. That’s an all-time record.

If you didn't pick software glitch for 2020, did you have cut fiber on the network (to the VA Voting Web site on the last day to register)? Sounds kinda like "we need a bridge out" today? I want to check their security plan for how they mitigated the need for redundant sites.

Yeah. If you cross the 10 point threshold, the software stuffs you into Timeout until the points expire to under the threshold.
OK -- so is this an early, slightly retarded AI OR an algorithm run amok?

Basically, if we all behave as our parents tried to teach us to, no one would ever make it to Time Out, right.......good luck w/ that!

I go in Tuesday for a major surgery to cut out a leaky AAA Stent, 10 to 14 days in the hospital. If I said blow me, how many weeks is that????

How many weeks is that????

10 to 14 days is 1.42857 to 2.0 weeks. But, I don't know why you would say for someone to blow you, as it doesn't have anything to do with maths.

Today I just got over being banned for a couple of days. No warnings and remember only a single incident of an infraction, which was when a few weeks ago I posted a story on main that did not not include the entire outside website's content. I immediately fixed it and all was well (I thought). I have not threatened anyone, posted any porn, or to my knowledge deeply offended anyone here. The closest I can imagine to a reason to ban me was that I have posted my opinion that treasonous judges and public officials need to meet the remedy specified for them in the constitution, a viewpoint that many here share. This forum is my #1 source for truthful news on the internet. I consider it to be a major resource for information on things that might threaten my family. When my IP address was banned, I seriously considered paying for a VPN just to READ the posts here. It is in the interests of the forum to let people know if they are walking on thin ice here so that they may correct their behavior. I have NOT received any explanation for why I was briefly banned. While I am grateful that my ability to read the forum has been restored, outside of this post I am considering going 100% gray here and permanently ceasing to post at all. Perhaps it was just a forum glitch, since Dennis is looking at upgrading the server. But for my peace of mind, I'd like to know. I think letting me know would be the honorable thing to do. I thank Dennis and all of the mods for this forum and bear no one here any ill will. May the Lord bless you. I will say no more.

Yesterday's IP ban was some kind of glitch that happened to a lot of us. Nothing personal! :)

We're just plugging along.
I've never even had 1 infraction. Glad it was just a glitch and was fixed. Hard to believe I've been coming to TB for 25 years.
