12 years ago DH and installed a privacy fence on our property in the summer. By ourselves. We worked a decent garden. We had to sell after a few years though, and rented for the next 6-7 years or so, meaning no outside work.
Now we have responsibility for a house and yard again, and we’re quite a bit older. We both have to acknowledge that we’re not as young as we used to be and make adjustments accordingly. DH finds that more difficult than I do.
I think the “conditioning” is a big deal - gradually getting used to the work AND the heat.
Y’all have given me more to think about, as usual.
