yah, that's the thing that gets lost. there are certain things that amazon canada will not ship to the usa, and i wondered if that was one of them. IF it is available, one must then be able to get it shipped to the usa.

They might be different formulations or it may be because it's another country?

If it isn't up to fda standards it ain't coming in. Fda gets to pick n chose who sells in America. Not the consumer.

It's total bullshit and only points out that TPTB have their hand in the cookie jar. If you want to sell here you gotta pay baby!

FDA, Abbott agree on plan to resume production of infant formula at Michigan plant

The Food and Drug Administration and Abbott Nutrition have agreed on a plan to resume operations at its infant formula facility in Sturgis, Michigan, the company announced on Monday.

While the news will be welcomed by frustrated dealing who are struggling find formula on shelves, it still could be several more weeks before they see relief.

According to Abbott, the agreement with the FDA lays out "the steps necessary to resume production and maintain the facility” but remains subject to court approval. Abbott said that once the FDA gives it the official green light, it could restart operations at the site within two weeks and that it would take six to eight weeks after that before the product is back on shelves.

"Our number one priority is getting infants and families the high-quality formulas they need, and this is a major step toward re-opening our Sturgis facility so we can ease the nationwide formula shortage. We look forward to working with the FDA to quickly and safely re-open the facility," said Robert B. Ford, chairman and chief executive officer of Abbott.

It’s estimated that Abbott Nutrition is one of only four companies that controls 90 percent of the market. The industry was already dealing with supply chain issues when federal inspectors found evidence of a deadly bacteria at the Sturgis plant and shut it down.

Abbott maintains that there is still no evidence linking its formula to four infant illnesses, which included two deaths.

Abbott is bucking the findings. What do you want to bet THAT is the reason they haven't cranked up the factory. They are being punished! Especially with 90% of market share!


This is criminal. Class action suit would get the conveyors going again. A politician with a spine and held interest for his constituency would have been nice too.

A small amount of children were actually vaccinated. The vaccine passes through breastfeeding? Most children getting hepatitis are younger than 5.

It might pass via breast milk. It might pass via shedding from an adult. Perhaps very young children are more susceptible to the shed. Not enough information yet.

I would like to see the stats on vaccine of moms.

My local very liberal TV station wrote an article about the hepatitis and assured us 3 times that it had nothing to do with the vaccine. Overboard. Why?

If the vaccine passes and the mom's that can't get formula and they go to one of the milk banks..

Our government is playing games with the intent to take down the country and what ever it was that kill some kid had nothing to do with any of the companies that make baby formula.
One Congress Rep a Woman found the U.S. Government has been stock piling baby formula and much more and there are huge warehouse's full of it and none of it is intended for U.S. Citizens but all for illegal aliens.

This has really taken any wind out of the idea that babies from vacinnated mothers may be getting sick. You know with the shortages they would not want to have a major production facility sitting idle.

The go ahead and restart would need FDA approval and this has always been the case.

That 90% statistic seems a little sketchy just based on the normal distribution on the brands on the store shelves.

Why do we all the sudden we believe every story we get linked on social media or the mainstream (you remember the most fair election and Russia hoax) media, yes now you believe they have a clue.

We know there are shortages but the amount of horse hockey on this story is mind blowing.

The WEF ‘predicted’ shortages and presto we have shortages. The heat gets raised and the media starts going crazy and presto the government, read democrats, decide that maybe a major US plant can maybe be restarted.

The coming likely diesel shortages and the cluster this could lead too will likely cause more attempts by gubmint to try to fix the stuff they keep breaking.

Had to do some serious searching and I found who I was looking for and that was Congress Rep Kat Cammack from Florida she was doing some serious foot work and made some discoveries of warehouse's full of supplies and hoarding baby formula and seen stacks and many many skid's of the stuff.

Look at that. So many things that used to be, but are no more.

What had to be done in the past to make, and although not ideal or joyful, were done and people just got over it.

I am always a silver lining type person. I see what good can be and is in a situation.

I see this being a way for people to break out of the ever increasingly tighter constraints that have been slowly being placed on us over the last 100 years.

Just like the toilet paper.

Shake well.

When contents are well mixed, add cold water UNTIL TOTAL VOLUME is 8 FLUID OUNCES.
Add probiotics and shake well one last time.
Feed within 1 hour and discard leftovers

To make larger batches:
Mix the ingredients with only half the required water. Once mixed, finish by adding the additional water needed to make the desired TOTAL VOLUME of liquid (eg 1 pint, 1 quart, etc.)

I was listening to an excerpt from a Dinesh D'Souza webcast. His wife is from Venezuela. She said eerily that at the beginning of the fall of Venezuela, they had the same thing happen with baby formula.

Listening to Dr. Naomi Wolf about emerging information on issues with the impact of a mother's vax on their pregnancy, fetal development, SIDs and infant health - as well as possible generational fertility, I am wondering if they want breast feeding to have more vax cross to infants post partum. - Sorry, but my faith and trust in the public health community is now less than zero and the news continues to be very dark on this subject

This is kind of like the Radiant Life recipe. I searched all the ingredients and spent about $240. I thought I was going to save buying individual but the probiotic had to be shipped cold and cost more, so probably should have bought the whole kit. She is going to try hard to breastfeed. She buys raw milk for her 2 young daughters and most of the time she can find it in the grocery store, but she has to get there early on the day they deliver. At the Farmer's Market there is a woman that sells raw cow milk and is sold out in 10 minutes.

I know something about the Nordic Naturals stuff. The regular DHA is only for the 24 months or older kids. The Baby DHA is for 6 months or older, and costs about 50% more. Great stuff, but be aware of its restrictions.

I mentioned using the homemade version and you would have thought I was advocating killing them. I was told I have survivors bias and that it is dangerous. Normally, I go by the mantra of just because you can, doesn't mean you should, but good grief. If you don't have breast milk available, and no formula, what exactly are you supposed to feed your child? I was dumb in 1988 when my oldest was born. I didn't pay attention to formula because I was planning on nursing. When I had to supplement, my mother, who raised all of her kids but me in the 50and 60s, put together a formula of karo syrup, boiled water and goats milk in a can with a dropper of Polyvisol vitamins in the bottle. It worked great.
