Oh boy. This really IS desperation mode, isn't it? Well, guess they've got to cover the cost of all those flops somehow.

Desperate Disneyland Slashes Children's Ticket Prices By More Than 50%

Disneyland is slashing ticket prices for children ages 3-9 by more than 50% for park entry early next year.

The deal, which will go on sale Oct. 24, offers tickets for as little as $50 per child per day, and can be used between Jan. 8 through March 10 at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. Current prices for children are $104 and up.

The new deal is for 1, 2, or 3 day ticket packages.

"These limited-time child tickets are a great value," said spokesperson Kelsey Lynch on the Disney Parks blog.
The deal provides significant savings compared to current children’s ticket prices, which are $270 for a 2-day pass and $340 for 3 days. Under the promotion, a 3-day child pass is $150.
One-day kids’ tickets can sell for up to $179, which is the park’s “highest demand” date ticket, usually falling around Halloween or Christmas.
The new deal has no blackout dates and will expire 13 days after the first day of use, if multiple days are purchased. That means customers will have to use their multi-day tickets within a two-week window after the first visit. -Epoch Times

Adults will need to reserve their full priced tickets separately.

That said, even lower prices aren't going to convince many conservative parents to patronize the woke entertainment company.

"I just don’t think we’ll be taking our kids back any time soon, especially after their new movie basically makes God into the bad guy," one recent Disneyland visitor told the Epoch Times, referring to Disney Pixar's latest movie reveal for "Wish," which turns the movie's God-like figure into an antagonist.

In August, Disney came under fire for their upcoming Snow White remake, after the son of the man who animated and directed the original version called it a "disgrace" and labeled the "woke things" they've made up as "insulting."

David Hand—son of the animator and director of the original version who was known by the same name—issued a harsh rebuke of the remake, telling the Telegraph on Aug. 18 that Disney's "woke" version is an insult to his father's work.

"It’s a whole different concept, and I just totally disagree with it, and I know my dad and Walt would also very much disagree with it," Mr. Hand said.

He said he disagrees with the entire concept, calling it a "disgrace," suggesting that Disney is "trying to do something new with something that was such a great success earlier."

The aforementioned ticket discount also comes a week after the park lost a class action lawsuit alleging that Disney used deceptive practices over how they allocate reservations to annual passholders.

Sorry, too many people are struggling to put decent food on the table. They are not going to spend the ticket prices for Disney. Usually it is at least one adult per group/family group to go to Disney. And slashing the kids’ ticket prices isn’t going to be near enough for most to make the trip given the price of everything in the parks.

I don't think these corporations understand, we are not coming back. It hurts both of us but this is culture war.

REI did a stupid move on the last day of June through their email campaign for sodomite and others rights, I haven't been back to make a purchase since. They want to preach to me? I'll go somewhere else.

Grew up within a short drive of Disneyland.....back when a family could actually afford to spend the day there. NOT ANY MORE!! Also remember when getting into Knotts Berry Farm was FREE!! Again....not any more.

As for Disneyland.....haven't dropped a dime there in decades because it's TOTALLY OVER PRICED!! Who wants to pay to stand in line for hours for a ride lasting less than five minutes. NO THANK YOU!!

On The Level
The human children assimilated to full time screen entertainment and imagination. Put them in a chair, on a couch, in their room, along with some speedy internet, and they don't ever want to leave.

It doesn't help matters much that there are very few places to which TO "leave" any more.

When I was a teenage punk, some 30 years ago, there were places to go. Bowling alleys, miniature golf...I remember a pool hall that was built inside an old Ryan's. Surprisingly nice. Great place to go on dates or with friends. The malls had bookstores, video arcades, all manner of non-clothing stores. And even if we didn't want to go far afield, there were movie theaters and video stores. We could pack up, drive a few minutes, and pick out an evening's entertainment from racks and racks of options.

Now what is there? I watched a fine three-course Putt-Putt Golf get turned into a USED CAR LOT. That pool hall? Bulldozed to make room for a CREDIT UNION. There are a handful of things left, even now...but so little. So little.

It's not much wonder that the kids would rather stay home and play online. That's all there is. Video arcades, mini golf, laser tag...all replaced by PCs and consoles. Bookstores replaced by Amazon and Bookshop.org, among other things. I look at the world, and I ask...where do the kids go on the weekends? Where do they go with their boyfriends or girlfriends? Do they get dinner and see a movie and that's pretty much it? What's even LEFT?

Every Sunday night there was the Wonderful World of Disney a family friendly wholesome show promoting traditional ideas of right and wrong etc. along with the theme parks. Now? Not so much.

Someone on YouTube has been putting up the old episodes. Some seem to be partial episodes, but others are complete features, from what I can tell. They're maybe about half done, and the farther they go the harder it will be because Disney lawyers are like roided-out sharks on bath salts that can walk AND have frickin' laser beams attached to their heads.

And they just raised prices on yearly passes, parking and Genie services (saves a place in a ride line. Waste of $ anyway). I grew up with Disneyland, have gone many times. There’s nothing like it, even other Disney parks are not the same. Granddaughter has a list of food items she wants to try, and we get a couple of new items every time. Beignets, roast beef sandwiches with brown mustard, chicken chopped salad, churros. Menu changes frequently. Their food is actually quite good, and prices are reasonable considering its restaurant quality.
Really sad. Guess they need to pay for their failed movies.

I can't say; I was only at Walt Disney World in Florida, so that's the only one I know. And that back in 1994.

Still though, I was floored. The marching band was down there for Magic Music Days. We marched in full uniform. Think we just pulled a couple Sousa marches and called it a day. But it was quite an event; Space Mountain, that log ride they decided was racist...we even got to see Epcot, and I thought that was quite a show in and of itself.
