CHAT Dennis - Please Tell Us Again TB2K Will Be Safe from Shutdown

TxGal

Day by day
As fast as the twitter accounts are being shut down today, and Apple looking to go after Parler, I'm getting more and more concerned.

Is the forum as safe from shutdown an anything can be today?

Thanks in advance. A little reassurance would be a good thing right about now.

Once the deepstate gains total control then they can shut down anything they like. Many ways they can do it. They could even just declare this site as some kind of risk. And whatever they do then there will be no place left to complain about it. No legal recourse. Even the USSC won't protect. And that is just the beginning of their powers. They will move past shuting down the forums and then start shuting down the people if you get my drift.

I just looked up the cost of an ISP big enough to handle TB2K traffic....no its not in the millions, but its over $25k a month....besides I can understand why Dennis doesn't want to go there. And that still would not protect us....if they want to shut us down there are many ways to do so.

Even if you have your own ISP, the upstream connection (like L3 or AT&T), can just cut you if they want to (or are told to).

I'm thinking that what is needed is to build a new type of forum software that the majority of it runs on everyone's PC, EVERYTHING is encrypted (not ssl/tls https, TRUE encryption), and a regular browser shows you nothing. You join, and you get your encryption key OTPs. Once at that point, you can see the "open" posts on the main page and then ask to be invited to the other SIGs to get the keys/OTPs for them.

This way, the public, and the ISPs have nothing to point to unless someone lets them in.

There will always be people who join, post for a bit to maintain counts and constantly run info to Elesewhere. We've dealt with that many times over the years. Weren't you around for the Board Wars of Eons ago?

My thought is Linux PC, Email based on some private server or lesser-used server, Alternative Search Engines so Google cannot track you with a lot of Cookie Blocking and an IP hiding system.

No, my idea is not perfect but it should lessen the Footprint by a lot. Also reassebmling self on any social media in order to keep note on ongoing things and pass info behind the scenes.

The ISP has thousands of servers.

Nothing is safe. When the Nazis marched against the Jews in Germany, no Jews were safe anywhere in that country.

LOL!

I think you misread the thread title...

Here, let me have a go at this.

But what’s the record for online members at one time....?

‘considering the events of the last few days made me curious.:arg:

Nope, however there are those of us here that will do everything we can to see TBK go forward. Note it may not be pretty.

Interesting that the Democrats have been calling Trump a nazi for four years yet its them operating with nazi tactics. Stop free speech that contradicts the party line. We're just seeing the beginning of what's to come. Christian churches have been under attack since Obama used the IRS to target conservative Christians and I have no doubt we will see major persecution in the coming years. I guess its time to add this site to my prayer list.

Basically decentralized self-replicating websites. No ability to completely kill.
