Yep he did... The loss is sensation on the left side of his face, evidenced by the tongue trying to figger out what just happened, zoom in and notice a slight facial droop at the edge of the mouth, new found difficulty in swallowing.
In the next twelve hours the full extent of his stroke will be apparent especially to him.

Larson's been in CT politics for friggin decades, just like the purple headed nitwit that is in the district just below him. both of them are WELL past their sell by dates. the CT republican party has been in disarray for years and can't field decent candidates to take these assholes and put them out to pasture

I watched it again, that man was having a stroke right there in living color and NOBODY in the chamber even batted an eye, some flunky brought out a glass of water near the end and put it on the podium like it was some kind of magic potion that would suddenly make him all better. I can't stand Larson but the total lack of recognition shown in that chamber that he was having a serious medical emergency, just boggles my mind.

Guess not ONE of them has heard of the FAST test-- and don't they keep ANY medical personnel there in the Capitol if suddenly needed?

the most common quick assessment method is the "FAST" test, which checks for
F-facial drooping,
A-arm weakness,
S-speech difficulties, and
T-time to act quickly if any of these signs are present

How to identify a stroke

The FAST acronym (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) is a test to quickly identify the three most common signs of stroke.

  • Face weakness: Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?
  • Arm weakness: Can the person raise both arms fully and keep them there?
  • Speech problems: Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say? Is their speech slurred?
  • Time to call for Medical Help: if you see any one of these signs.

NEW: Democrat Rep. John Larson has a medical episode during a speech, freezes up for nearly a minute after blasting republicans for not “speaking up.”

“Don't worry. No one on the Republican side who controls both the House and Senate is going to speak up…”

Larson has been in Congress since 1999.

He is 76 years old.

Left side of his mouth drooped, and I noticed he never moved / lifted left arm after this happened.

Of course it will all be "Trump's Fault" in the MEEDIA.

"The Congressman was overwrought with thoughts of Elon Musk and a gutting out of financial security for all the needful in the world."

No thought of taxpayers in that.

It's been going on for a while. Now, after Trump is back in office, all of a sudden does it fit the narrative to shine a light on how rampant it is.
Don't fall for it, because they are going to attempt to replace these with extreme lefties. Soros is giddy at the thought of 100 AOCs with years ahead of them.

BTDT 4 times last year.

The problem is no one thinks about that, not even the victim. By the time it is over the victim is like, what was that? And then sees that it is over, and just shrugs and goes about their business.

And then when you tell your doctor about it, he gets on to you for not going to the ER.

Don't know about the guys politics but do know about TIA's and having 4 MRI's done to confirm. Having an MRI done on your brain means going all the way up inside that thing head first. Having had a total of 6 MRI's on the brain, you'd think the claustrophobic would get better but it doesn't it gets worse.

Anyway my point is people sitting around don't think about that. Maybe if one was a doctor, but just regular folk, no. Especially if it only lasts a minute or two.

I'm guessing no one is really paying attention to their speeches on the floor except for the live video mixer person, who figured out something was wrong and started doing the cutaways. Unless he fell over or collapsed, no one there is paying attention to the endless blah, blah, blah's of speeches.

And that's because it is all theater. Whoever is in front of the camera is giving the speech of a lifetime. The rest of the chamber is quiet, staff all involved in their various activities and other "luminaries" waiting their turn at the podium, but no one is really paying attention. My husband and I took our five children to visit DC in early summer of 2007. I don't remember who was speaking on the floor at the time, but we all remember clearly Obama sitting in his chair and spinning around. That's what should have been on camera.

While I don't wish any ill on the Congressman, I can't help but think God has a wicked sense of humor.
I do; I wish a whole lotta bad on the crooked ones, the psychopathic ones, and the sociopathic ones. Draw and quarter them. Go medieval on their butts. Televise it. Make it a national holiday.

2 ppl should have immediately gone up to him, one on either side, and sat him down, and called for an ambulance to take him to be evaluated.

Strokes can be reverted if caught in time. This, fortunately for him, was a TIA, and he still needed to be evaluated immediately.

That would mean admitting he might be incapacitated.

Unable to vote against Trump's appointments.

Nope...better to keep a lukewarm carcass up there.

ER's are a joke. At least around here they are. Unless you are actively bleeding you might as well stay home.

I had to take an ambulance ride back in June. Bad case of pneumonia. The ER was worthless. I got better medical care in the ambulance.
That's because ER are the source of all medical care for illegals. My grandson was bleeding for hours and hours in the ER before being seen. Like from 4:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.

Wonder if anyone has, by now?

ER's are a joke.

We have a great ER department at our medical complex. Cary's doctor told me to call ahead to the department and tell them that I was bringing in a stroke patient who is actively having a stroke. They would be waiting on him at the door. It would be better for me to take him in rather than waiting on an ambo way out here in the country. We have done this a few times when having an emergency, and they were always waiting for us to arrive.

I have our emergency department on "speed dial".
