On Saturday night, the son of Democratic House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA 5th District) was reportedly arrested on charges of vandalizing private property and assaulting an officer while resisting arrest during an Antifa riot in Boston, Massachusetts, Post Millenial reported.

The Boston Police Department said in a news release that the suspect was identified as Jared Dowell, 23, of Melrose.

Dowell was placed under arrest and charged with; Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Destruction or Injury of Personal Property and Damage of Property by Graffiti/Tagging.

Dowell is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court, BPD said in a statement.

More from Boston Police Department:

Incident 1: At about 9:30 PM, on Saturday, January 21, 2021, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a protest at the Parkman Bandstand Monument located within the Boston Common, 139 Tremont Street.

Upon arrival officers observed an individual defacing the monument with spray paint. The tagging read “NO COP CITY” and “ACAB”. The suspect was later identified as Jared Dowell, 23, of Melrose.

During the arrest of Jared Dowell, a group of about 20 protesters began to surround officers while screaming profanities though megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill. While interfering with the arrest of Jared Dowell, an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.

Twitter user AntifaWatch revealed that the suspect is probably the son of Representative Katherine Clark, a top Democrat in the US House of Representatives.

AntifaWatch posted an online biography of Rep. Clark, mentioning Jared Dowell as one of her children.

“Katherine Clark Children: Meet Addison Dowell, Jared ‘Riley’ Dowell, and Nathaniel Dowell – In this piece, you will get to know all about the children of Katherine Clark.”

According to reports, one of them identifies as non-binary.

It appears that the child of Democrat House Minority Whip Katherine M. Clark was arrested for assaulting police as part of an #antifa event in Boston last night.

AntifaWatch revealed that Jared’s Facebook was deleted following the incident.

Jared appears to have gone trans/nonbinary somewhat recently from what we observed on social media.

The Gateway Pundit has reached out to Rep. Katherine Clark’s office for comment.

Clark released a statement on Sunday night in which she referred to Jared “Riley” Dowell as her “daughter” in relation to his recent arrest.

“Last night, my daughter was arrested in Boston, Massachusetts. I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting,” Rep. Clark wrote.

“This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process,” she added.

Incoming Democrat whip Katherine Clark recalls child ‘waking up with nightmares’ over climate change

Incoming House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark of Massachusetts on Sunday recalled one of her children “waking up with nightmares” due to concerns about climate change.

Clark made the comment when asked by NBC News anchor Chuck Todd what she and incoming House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries intended to do differently than their leadership predecessors, Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer.

The 59-year-old Clark argued that her “generation” could bring a fresh perspective to Congress because her kids grew up being tormented by the threats of climate change and gun violence.

“One of the biggest changes is going to be that we’re coming into this in the minority, but the commitment that we have had to the people of this country, to workers, to women, to the climate is going to continue on,” Clark said.

“And let me tell you what it means to me coming in as a different generation,” she continued. “I remember my middle child waking up with nightmares over concern around climate change. I’ve had my family at a movie theater, when the movie stopped, my children immediately felt there must be a shooter in the theater with us.”

“These are the type of experiences that we are going to bring as we continue to push to meet this moment of challenge for the American people with progress,” she added.

A clip of Clark’s comment received mockery on Twitter with GOP consultant Michael Duncan tweeting, “would snitch to CPS if someone told me this,” referring to child protective services.

Former Trump White House senior adviser Stephen Miller responded to the tweet by saying, “The only way this could happen to a child is if the parents made it so.”

Jeffries, D-N.Y., has been elected as minority leader, Clark as minority whip and Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif., as caucus chair after Pelosi, Hoyer and Majority Whip James Clyburn announced they’re turning over the reins.

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who was nominated as speaker by House Republicans last month, hopes he can eke out a win when the entire House votes in January. He can’t lose more than four Republican votes, and at least five Republicans have spoken out that they will not support him for speaker.

And this is why setting the precedent of going easy on those with mental illness is a bad idea. It doesn't matter if it is a "Jared" or a "Riley." If you can tell the difference between right and wrong you go to jail and stay there until you serve your time. If you can't tell the difference then you go straight to state hospital lock up and you stay there until you can tell right from wrong and then get transferred to jail to serve out your time.

I bet she is confident in the process. Democrats own the process in Massachusetts. He/she will be quickly released with an apology and damages in the form of cash. $50,000.00 per hour he/she spent in jail sounds about right.

After reading another article (I think on FOX) and then seeing this thread, I was confused until I realized that I was not the only confused one.

These people and their enablers are disturbed. Severely.

Both mom and son are attempting to use ‘she’ as a way of keeping out of real prison where he would get some real world experience.

Probably what this psycho punk needs.
I’ll bet you are pretty close, if not absolutely correct.

Yep....he almost has the derangement down but needs to practice a little more.
He's a spoiled little s*!t that needs an ass whipping. He is acting out and has a whole truckload of growing up to do. He will always be a victim, his mother made sure of that.
I saw the bestest(it's a word) quote:
Raise your children right, you can spoil your grandchildren.
Spoil your children, you will get to raise your grandchildren.

Top Democrat's transgender daughter sentenced to probation for assaulting police officer
Brandon Gillespie
4 - 5 minutes

The transgender daughter of House Minority Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass, was sentenced to just one year of probation Wednesday after reaching a deal with a Boston court concerning a number of charges she faced stemming from her role in a violent protest in January.

Riley Dowell was arrested by Boston police during the protest after allegedly spray-painting a monument and assaulting a police officer. She was ultimately charged with assault and battery on a police officer, vandalizing property, tagging property, vandalizing a historic marker/monument, and resisting arrest.

According to local Fox affiliate WFXT, Dowell, who was 23 at the time of the arrest and plead not guilty to the assault and vandalism charges, will be required to write a letter of apology to the officer she is accused of assaulting as part of the deal.

The news of her daughter's arrest broke when Clark took to social media to address the incident immediately after it occurred. "I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting," she tweeted. "This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process."

Following Dowell's arraignment just days later, Clark condemned violence against police at an unrelated event in Boston. "I condemn violence against everyone, whether that is against police or against community members as a result of any person or government entity," she said.

Despite her denouncement of violence against police, it was later revealed that Clark scrubbed an anti-police article from her official website ahead of taking the number two position in the lower chamber for House Democrats.

The article, titled, "Defund the police makes some Democrats uncomfortable. That’s the point, activists say," was posted on Clark's official website under her "In the News" section where it remained from June 2020 before disappearing sometime after December 9, 2022.
House Dem Whip' daughter's arraignment

In the article, Clark defended Democrats' 2020 police reform bill, the Justice in Policing Act, as "a beginning, not an end" and said that it is worth exploring "how we allocate our resources to move police from being a culture of being warriors to being guardians."
