California Congresswoman Katie Hill has resigned amid allegations she had inappropriate relationships with her staffers.

The 32-year-old Democratic Representative announced her resignation on Twitter, writing: 'It is with a broken heart that today I announce my resignation from Congress.

'This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I believe it is the best thing for my constituents, my community, and our country.'

She attached a long statement to her tweet, in which she explained: 'This is what needs to happen so that the good people who supported me will no longer be subjected to the pain inflicted by my abusive husband and the brutality of hateful political operatives who seem to happily provide a platform to a monster who is driving a smear campaign built around cyber exploitation.'

WOW SHE BLAMES EVERYBODY BUT HERSELF. SO CALIFORNIAN.

She will be replaced by another radical, Marxist Democrat loser, possibly worse than she was, and certainly just as out of touch with reality. She was apparently told by the Democrat powers that be in the US House that her shenanigans were impeding everything from an impeachment vote, to avoiding a government shut down on November 21st, and the whole Marxist agenda the Democrats, so called, are now pushing.

Besides, it is really true that one picture will prove fatal. Pelosi, for all her sleaze is still a cunning political operative and knows how to take out the trash when she has to.

I'm actually surprised over the resignation. Given that The Party has set the moral bar so low as to be a trip hazard, if she simply shrugged her shoulders and remarked; "So what? It's a personal matter" I see no outcry via the membership. And certainly a limited and then complete news blackout among Party controlled media. Something else must be up.

A little bit of Karma :) The wife and I were talking about this yesterday, Karma doesn't always show up at the exact time you'd like it to but in general and almost always without fail it shows up. When you do bad/evil things to others it will eventually bite you in the ass and honestly its marvelous when it happens.

I don't care what she does or whom she does it with as long as it's consenting, as it's none of my business. BUT, I also don't want to know about it. However, she is in Congress and did it with staffers. Were they paid? If they were, were they being paid for their clerical skills or sex. If it was sex, that's prostitution. If you or I were a business owner and had sex with our staff, BOLI would surely have something to say about it. Sexual harassment, anyone? If they were unpaid, were they expecting to be given a job later with promises of such in exchange for sex? She may get away with it as a member of Congress, but not us peons.

AND if she were a man, and it was women staffers . . . .

If a man did that with female staffers, there would be hell to pay. So, if you are bisexual or homosexual, the rules should be the same. Do it with friends, not staffers and stay out of trouble.

That district had a Republican last time and this time around there were three Republicans running against her. A Latina who is for the wall, a Latino fighter pilot, and a black woman.

As an aside, the district includes porno valley so maybe she could have filmed and sold it and just said she was trying to better understand her constituents...

Hill was the Vice Chair of the Ethics Committee and Cummings was the Chair. Two top Democraps of that committee gone. I don't know if Piglosi has named replacements but it is thinning the herd one at a time. I believe a special election in her district has to be held to fill her position. No pun intended on using the wording "fill her position".:D Hill of course is claiming she is being exploited and trying to change the dialogue. I am not sure about that? She may be right. I hear you usually pay extra for that kind of action.
