Diesel DEF delete for 6.7 Cummins - any experience in the various options?

For instance (and I don't know if this is the case), can the DPF be removed as well if there is one?

Please no " you shouldn't oughta do this" because reasons; not worth the time to read. If the dealerships have DEF delete kits, it's a done deal. I just don't know how involved it is to remove it, and what needs to be replaced so the system is content.

It isn't that difficult, but is somewhat expensive...at least in the short term. I forget the company's name we used, but a complete kit was easy to install. Let me check a bit...

Ok, this isn't the exact same kit, but very similar. Gets rid if the DEF system, EGR and the DPF. Also allows changing power levels easily.

It can be done in a few hours...just use good sockets (6 point) on the exhaust bolts and nuts. They are soft steel and will round off if you aren't careful ;)

Thanks, man, I agree about the 6-point sockets. I used to think that 12-point was mo' bettah but sure learned how wrong that was, to my chagrin. I'll probably soak them in penetrating oil for a while as well.

I did my duramax with tunes from MotorOps, out of Canada.

First thing to do, go to the Cummins forum and read...a lot.

Now that I'm driving a Cummins, I'll have to spend time there myself.
