Oh man! Yeah, we loved to hate on him at first…but he got his head out of his butt and did ok…until he brought the biker gang down on top of them!

RIP, sir!

They got Flyboy? Aw MAN.

Sure, he screwed the pooch by taking on the bikers, but it's not like he didn't have a point. Still, he paid for his hubris in the end.

The problem, of course, is that he almost made everyone ELSE pay for it too by leading the zombies back to their hideout in the mall.

Goodbye, Flyboy...

Actor David Emge, well known to horror fans for playing the role of helicopter pilot Stephen in the 1978 zombie classic Dawn of the Dead, died on Jan. 20 at the age of 77.

Maybe he'll be back...

Honestly, it's one of the few movies from the 70s that held up reasonably well. Sure, the arcade games were a catastrophe and the bright orange blood effects ludicrous, but still!

Are you sure about that?
Might want to try the remake. It did all right, honestly. The deleted scenes with the newscaster were a treat too.

I have, and while it has it's moments, I prefer the original.

And the actor was one of my favorites, having been Doctor Franklin on Babylon 5. RIP Richard Biggs.

I can dig it. Honestly, I wish more remakes would stick to the original script but just update the effects and such.

Goodness before greatness.

Was that the movie where the guy stops to get his blood pressure read, and his arm is left in the machine during a z0mbie attack?

That was the only z0mbie movie I ever watched until the Twinkies with Woody Harrelson.

Yes. It's also the only zombie movie ever to feature a pie fight, as far as I know.

Supposedly, the original music score for the Italian or foreign release had more intense music…acid rock or whatever Tom Savini said, but it was too much for the MPAA or whatever…so they put the humorous sound track on the domestic release.

I used to watch it once every few weeks as my kids were growing up (teens) they said it was a training film!

We must have watched it a hundred times.

Thats red neck, gun nut kids for you!

The 1990 remake of Night of the living dead was actually very good…Romero, Savini, were the ones who filmed it, so it true to the original… check it out if you haven’t ever seen it…it’s good.

Yeah, they changed a LOT in that one but I think it worked. Turning Harry Cooper from a mildly useful curmudgeon to an active impediment was a major difference. And getting Barbara out of her funk early really changed a lot too.
