Neither here nor there.
My cousins in NFLD are posting photos of 25 foot deep snowdrifts and of houses completely buried under snow all you can see is the peak of the roof of the house.
We woke up to an inch or so of snow on the ground and cars this morning. Started sleeting around 2pm and now it's pouring rain. DC area.
I'm glad. In years and snowstorms past, I've fallen so hard my head bounced a couple of times. Didn't break but had some lovely goose eggs on my noggin. Think of an elephant on ice skatesYeah, but you don't have to shovel it, and you won't fall on your butt and break something.
I am flying in to Duluth tomorrow AM to visit family. I have never seen snow other than out of an airplane window so I guess this will be my chance, not that I am looking forward to it.
SW lower MI got 4" of very wet, heavy snow. Rain on top along with sleet. Took me 3 hrs to shovel the driveway. Definitely a widow maker. Never shoveled anything that heavy in my life. Hope I can move in the morning because we're supposed to get 4 more inches. Blah.
No complaining. If the rain we had last weekend was snow we'd have had about 30".
Nobody else can shovel due to back issues. God got me through it. I am very thankful.

Have you looked outside? It's been dumping here most of the night...I can hardly wait for it to hit the NY snowbelt. We don't even measure snow in inches. A common phrase here is " we only got a couple feet".

I'm a bit lower than you are, and we didn't get that much. You must have got some lake assist up that way.
