Does anyone have a recipe for crab cakes that uses canned crab? Or any other recipes using canned crab?

Too good to be true! Yummy!

SANDY'S CRAB CHOWDER

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saute onions, garlic, green pepper, and cayenne in butter until tender. Blend in soup, cream cheese, and milk. Add crab meat, corn, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer ten minutes. Stir in sugar. Serves six to eight. You may freeze the first day. ENJOY!
My family's favorite Crabby Pattie recipe.
DH likes lots of crab so we start with about 6 cans of crabmeat. (Fresh crab if we have it.) DH likes garlic so we add lots of garlic, 1 TBSP in oil. I wing it from there. A dash of hot mustard, however many eggs I can spare but no less than 2 and no more than 4. Dry bread crumbs, or crackers. Add some chopped onion or bell pepper, chives and oregano. Whatever sounds good and I have on hand. Mix by hand and form into patties then fry in butter. It doesn't take long maybe 5 minutes. I usually cover with lid the last minute + to make sure it's cooked well on the inside. We don't actually eat ours on a bun like some do. I always serve mine with yellow hominy.
I give up.
Miss Tina's sound yummy. Here's the one in my cookbook that is a mayo lover's dream:
3 slices white bread, crusts removed
1 pound flaked crab meat
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup real mayonnaise
Salt & pepper to taste
paprika
butter as needed
Crumble bread and combine with crab. Add parsley and Worscestershire sauce and bind with mayonnaise. Add salt and pepper and form into 8 1-inch-thick cakes. Sprinkle lightlly with paprika and chill at least 1 hour. Carefully saute in butter until heated through and golden brown, turning once.
mzkitty, I'm trying your recipe for a variation.
To piggyback BeeTree's chowder recipe we found some Garden Fresh Creamy Potato Soup Mix at Sams made by Inn on the Creek. It's great to have on hand for a quick meal and it and you can add crab, mushrooms, salmon, broccoli, cheese, etc... anything you like but I'm particularly fond of the quickness for one of those nights we're trying to get to too many functions and we don't eat out much. Mainly because our family is too large to eat out.
