Covid-19 cases in kids hit record high last week
The U.S. logged a record high number of pediatric Covid-19 cases last week, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Last week alone, 182,018 new pediatric cases were reported. Since early December, cases in children have increased by 25 percent.

More than 1.8 million cases of Covid-19 had been diagnosed in children since the beginning of the pandemic. Kids represent 12.3 percent of all Covid-19 cases in the U.S., a percentage that has steadily increased in recent months.

Severe complications of Covid-19 in kids are rare, as are hospitalizations, the AAP reported. But studies have shown children can spread the virus as well as anyone else.

Death from Covid-19 is also rare among children. A total of 172 kids in the U.S. have died from Covid-19, less than 1 percent of all deaths from the disease in the U.S.

I had it, my wife with leukemia had it, my daughter-in-law had it, my son has it and my two year grand daughter had it... all within the last three weeks. Everyone is asymptomatic now and has recovered... and none of us had a sTroke worrying about it.

These are buzz words and buzz phrases. Sound farmiliar? They should as most were used in early 2020 to launch the scam propaganda campaign. This is recycled fear porn because it worked the first time. Try not to fall for it this time.

"{Cases" is the most meaningless word there is in 2020
Correct, if we tested for flu like we do for SARS CoV-2 nobody would get out of the house. What matters are cases in the hospital, cases in ICU and deaths. One thing is for sure, the government needs to spend less time giving our money to foreign countries and build a better, larger ICU infrastructure. Most all of this shutdown talk is because the infrastructure can't handle hospital cases, well damnit, build better infrastructure.

Cases! Cases! Cases! Everybody panic!

Cases mean NOTHING. Most people will never even know they had it. Either they won't even know they had a disease at all or they will mistake it for a particularly rough cold or the flu.

Some of the high-risk categories are what is driving this still being a news thang. Seriously, if it bleeds it leads. People that are healthy aren't sitting around all day watching CNN and listening to all the talking heads. It is the sedentary individuals with comorbidities that have the time and inclination to stay glued to the boob tube and radio. So that's why the mainstream media make such a big thing of it. It drives their numbers. And the bigger the thang, the bigger the advertising payout is for them

Well, them 172 kids died of something. Flu? Really?

Well, Troke, so far this year 78 kids drowned in the state of Texas alone. You want to shut down all bathtubs next? Ban water, perhaps?

Yes, 172 kids died. But there were plenty more kids that died, and of nothing having to do with COVID. Yet only this is the thing we shut down the entire economy over.

Of course "cases" among children has gone "up". Early on, some of the "pandemic" reporting talked about how this was largely a disease of the elderly, and kids weren't getting it. That kind of died away, but the nugget of information remained in the public consciousness. This latest "surge" is intended to erase that datum, and enforce the thinking that "we can all get it, so we *all* have to be afraid. It's not just Grandma that can get it, Junior can get sick too so we must all lock ourselves away until the curse passes".

You people that insist on using common sense are really going to poke a hole in people's doom mobile so stop before they go into a decline and have to focus on real problems. Like the fact that all of these shutdowns aren't just killing the country, they are killing the people that live in this country.

By the way, I haven't heard of a single person who died of covid that hadn't isolated or wore a mask religiously. Apparently it is the people that follow the rules and want other people to follow the rules that die. Logic dictates they need to ban rules.

The overall case count is dropping in Iowa. Ken and Karen say it's due to wearing masks.

I say the earlier spike was due to ramped up testing (which yields a high number of false positives). Testing has been
drastically cut back, and our positive rate is now said to be going down.

Locally, I do not know anyone personally who is sick with CV. I do know several seniors who have cancer, heart conditions, and other problems. If they pass, I'm sure it'll be labeled CV.

Has anyone heard of this side effect from Covid Pneumonia? My brother has it. Been in ICU for over a month. Put in a trach yesterday trying to wean him off oxygen. I just found out all the toes on one foot are black. Dr. says they have to operate and take them off. What in the world is this stuff?

Somebody in the WH had his leg amputated. Apparently it happens.

Friend had covid toes, as it's called. That was April or June, he and his toes are fine now. He's back to running his store.
