Cool Shelters

Goin' where the lonely go
I just don't think I could handle it. And with my luck something massive would land on top of those entrance doors and I would never be able to get out anyway. :shk: I'd just be stuck there and would die in a huge coffin. No-one would ever know.

super nice - but makes me a little clostiphobic looking at it....

I agree... I would have to see, experience it to know for sure. I've thought about caving,.. but when I've seen some footage of other cavers,... I'm a bit on the eh,.. I'll pass... Just like jumping from an airplane... If I want alot of wind in my face,.. I'll turn on a fan. If I wanted to get back to ground fast,.. I would not have gone up in the first place,... :lkick:

Otherwise,.. I'll echo Sharon... It is neat. But I think I would rather have SeaPaks,.. Yet with the difference in geometry,.. round vs square,.. I don't know the compression/compaction difference...

VS,.. To try to ease your mind a little... Many people who install this form of shelter have already delt with that issue.

Many supple or offer a 5 or 20 ton ram to force the hatch open. There is the configuration too,.. you can add other entrance/exits to the unit.

I am waiting for my concrete shelter to be delivered any day now. I got a 6x12 shelter for 2995 installed. A lot better than these prices. You might want to check locally first. Arkansas also has a 1000 rebate for shelters.

Upon first view of this shelter, did anyone think it was like looking at an upscale WW2 barracks in a concentration camp?
