Like my multi focal contacts. Don’t have to wear glasses for distance or reading. The ones they make now are more comfortable.

They MIGHT draw the line at dailies. IIRC my eye doc said something to the effect that weeklies were the most my ins would pay for.

My insurance just pays a flat rate for either glasses or contacts. The type of contacts doesn't matter so that is something to look into. Sam's club had the best prices even with the eye doctor office discount. Usually the doctor discount only applies if one buys a full one year supply and I actually wear my two week contacts for the whole month.

Acuvue 2-week disposables were my brand for many years. I then switched to Acuvue Oasys 2-week disposables. They worked well and didn't dry out as fast. I've always gotten the same prescription for both eyes though one is a little more off, plus I have astigmatism in one eye. I now wear Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism and they are very comfortable. Though they are "2-week" lenses I wear them for the month. The only thing is that one eye is never in focus with these astigmatism lenses. So long as I have both eyes open, I see everything in focus. I was having trouble reading words on the TV and with the Astigmatism lenses I don't have that issue anymore, so long as both eyes are open.

I've tried various other brands but Acuvue has always been the best for me. My doctor has given me wear once and toss daily contacts and they are great. The problem is that even when factoring in the savings for contact lens solution they are still a lot more costly than 2-week disposable contacts.

Given where things are heading I'm considering some sort of eye surgery. A co-worker just had it done and said it is amazing. His comments are similar to others I've heard from people who've have it done in past years.
