When you couple this:

with this:

and this:

Does anyone else get a vibe of "lockdowns part deaux"?

Pure coincidence that just as several states are cutting extended unemployment bennies to get people back to work, we get gas shortages that will inhibit that very thing?

Yes, this was being discussed offline, as well. They really want to crash the economy.
Fortunately, most of the area farmers I talked to have enough fuel to finish planting and are over
half-way finished or almost finished, as of this morning.

Yes I have heard the argument that lazy people would rather sit home and collect the federal dole. However, most of the unfilled jobs everyone is lamenting are low paying jobs. The economy is still a limp dick, many companies are just starting to climb out of the hole created by the faux pandemic and it will take years for the economy to recover. Punishing the unemployed is not going to help the economy and only make things worse. There is also the little thing about it being federally sanctioned money delivered to the states for the stated purpose of relief. A case where the federal government has some say.

No one did a Gantt chart for the fall of Rome. Failing political systems are bumpy, and bad stuff happens, and it's all organic. It doesn't take a plan, and someone drawing up a chart doesn't mean there WAS a plan or that the chart reflects it.

They will go for a massive grid down very soon. Be ready. I expect it to effect the Western States hardest since we are not effected by the Pipeline down. Iowa will be punished along with the Western States.
Remember the traitor Kerry said it will happen faster than you can imagine.

There was one. It was lost when Vesuvius erupted.

if the economy wasn't already crashing they would not be able to.

if they crash the economy during the winter, everyone will know what Texas experienced.

Democrats will not crash the economy in an election year; they will save you in an election year.

I expect them to do so, this summer.

Brace for impact.

They are losing control. Too many questions and the kids are getting rowdy.

That's one of the signs that there is no Grand Plan with a Gantt chart. The PTB are making this up as they go. There are large forces at work, huge and ungainly processes unfolding, Juggernaut is rolling, and people on the inside are always looking for ways to gain advantage while trying to forecast what comes next. This is perfectly normal, and it's organic. It's getting harder every day for those at the top to balance on the teetering pyramid.

"Punishing the unemployed" ?
So printing more money and paying the unemployed, to not fill low paying jobs, helps whom?

Holcomb is mumbling about shutting off the $300. Problem is despite my best efforts I cannot find a job in my field. The economy is just starting to recover.
I am sorry to hear about the issue you are facing, I ended up relocating and by doing so fixed a similar problem, I have also tried out 7 different career paths in my lifetime, finally settling on one...but can always go back to another.
Gotta be flexible to survive

The dollar is in the process of collapsing. We have debased its value by monetizing the debt under MMT. The world is beginning to turn from the dollar as its reserve currency and replacements like the digital Yuan are finding their way into international trade among the Belt and Road countries.

The US will use this opportunity to segue into a digital currency and universal basic income. This will be accompanied by online digital surveillance and tracking, with a social credit score. It will align us nicely as we become a second rate client state of the CCP.

Agree.

Maybe the truth is - that low paying jobs are all there ever will be again - something is better than nothing.

I'm against paying ANYTHING till all those job openings are filled with people actually working.

The good old days - are gone - forever.

This! It will be the next shoe to drop. I don't for a minute believe that pipeline was taken down by hackers. We are in a war with our own government.

Here is the problem with that; if you need $4000.00 a month to pay all your expenses, and the
low paying job "only gets you $1000.00 a month, you simply cannot afford to work at the low paying job.
Unless you are OK with living in your car down by the river.

psst . . . most people start work at an early age . . . with the preconceived notion that hard work is its own reward, and you have to work hard to get ahead, and to have nice things.

and then the government told them to stay home
and they found out that they could actually be pretty comfortable making $6000 a year doing whatever they wanted to do

that is about when i stopped giving pan handlers money . . .

but yea, sure . . . you all really need to get back to work. crack that whip and all that jazz

I used to have $5000/month in monthly outflow.

Now
I have about $700 in monthly outflow - and that includes property tax and homeowners insurance.

I do not live in a van by the river eating government cheese
