…… Come on - give me your pre 1975 or so movie recommendations.

A week or so ago somebody posted a thread about good movies and tv shows for netflex.

Since there was so many recommendations I thought I might try a similar thread, but not quite so broad.

So what is your favorite pre 1975 movie recommendation?

I use 1975 because that's my best guess for a date when diversity and leftist propaganda started. I know that there was a little in it before then - but nothing like now.

And like many on that thread I can't stand 99% of the stuff made now.

Just for kicks and grins what date would you have used?

Thanks

I'm a big fan of 1930's movies, but maybe that's farther back than you want to go. TCM is the source (Turner Classic Movies).

Gag. Absolutely pointless British film.

Yeah I saw it one time....didn't particularly like or understand it...but that's just me. What about....

Lolita...the original with James Mason
Niagara.....Some Like It Hot...Seven Year Itch.....or anything Marilyn
Psycho....Dial M For Murder....Vertigo...The Birds....or anything Hitchcock
Any Dracula movie with Christoper Lee
Queen Bee with Joan Crawford
Anything and everything with Bette Davis...up and until Whatever Happened To Baby Jane

There are just so many good ones....not enough time to watch them all, although it would make a great wintertime, nasty weather weekend not seem so bad.

I saw "Dr. No" mentioned, but other than Ursula Andress there really isn't much reason to watch that one. Thunderball or Goldfinger are better "Bond" installments from the pre-'75 era. Honorable mention to "From Russia with Love" or maybe "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
