thursday at midnight central time, Coast to Coast will have William Forstchen, he wrote the book One Second After and several others on EMP,

First Half: Historian and public speaker William R. Forstchen, Ph.D., specializes in topics ranging from history and cultural issues to space technology development, and the security implications of these combined topics. He'll update the ongoing campaign to bolster energy and communications infrastructure against EMP attack, asteroid strikes, and other disasters.

I have all of Dr. Forstchen's books, and have
heard all of his shows on Coast To Coast AM.

My best AM receiver, is my 35 year old
Sony 2010, and that is what I will have
powered up to listen tonight.

If future events are like what he has
written about in his books, we ain't
nothing but severely doomed.
Most excellent doom.

Realize and know that we are now in
the end of days, and nothing but
unbelievable bad awaits Planet Earth,
especially the incredible evil country,
that the ZUSA has become.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

“most excellent doom”

never heard it put that way, i suppose it depends one one’s perspective.
“served up especially for you” gives the recipient the appropriate view I guess.

i totally agree. The next events sound like they are pounding on the front door and there are no doubts In my mind that they will break the door down in order to arrive on time.

Usually when he comes on, it's the same old EMP scare stuff. <Rinse/Repeat>.

Don't know if he has a new book out that he's peddling or ? I've noticed among some of the talk show show staples (Levin, Hugh Hewitt) past few days they are really pounding the downright likelihood of a hot war soon with China over Taiwan, Maybe that's the take and reason for his appearance. :shr: Who knows. I'll probably be sound asleep and miss it.

Added: Yes, he does have a new book coming out - " Five Years After". In August '23 according to Amazon.

C&C isn't even a shadow of when ART was doing it.

I seldom listen to it and it seems when I do its always occult garbage, some dufus DR (?) selling his fix everything concoctions or on FRI;s & Sat a Canadian who is stuck on music and movie crap.

There is one lady on Sunday's that covers more of what Art did and she's actually up to speed on what the guests are talking about. She lets more callers in to ask questions or talk as well.

As far as Sleepy the main guy, he's terrible. His questions stink and he seems as dumb as a post. The show often spends the whole time with that night's mod talking with the guests with snorey lost almost as much as old sleepy Joe Biden and with limited call ins.

The main host also has a bevy of idiot callers who seem to get right through every night and they praise him and belch out the same stuff every time. When someone actually gets through with a good question, they get shuffled off and old snorey twists it or tries to answer it instead of the guest. When ever comes out of that man's mouth is usually ignorant and self serving.

Sad thing is there is so little on at 2 AM and the AM radio band is so bad it's hard to find anything else to listen to anymore.

I like Ian Punnett as a host. Wish he'd been able to take over instead of Noory when Art quit. Think that's about the time Punnett was having major problems with tinnitus so a no-go. At least he scrapes up good guests and interesting topics the few times/month he's on. Love his deep dive into music, too.

I get real sick of the endless hours they spend with the damned scamming psychics. Who the heck cares if you are pining for a message from long dead Aunt Martha. And agree...what ever happened to only one call every couple weeks. Some of those regulars are on every night. Tells me that he usually get NO other callers.

I think they screen the callers and only let snorey’s shills thru.

That guy is really bad.

I usually don't listen to, Coast To Coast AM,
as it is like you all have stated.
However I do, when the topic that will be
discussed tonight is scheduled.

The replacement for Art, if it is even possible
to replace such an incredible radio talent,
should have been John B. Wells.
Both Art and John have the "radio voice",
that cuts thru the airwaves, and know how
to interview a guest.

Most nights, I am listening to 75 meter
ham radio nets, where they usually discuss
current events, including solar flares and
other issues with the sun, that I am sure
will be discussed on tonight's show.

Get yourself a good shortwave radio,
there is a lot on there now. Art was a
ham radio operator, and I heard him
on a net early one morning, after his
show was over. Radio was his life,
and that was why, he was so good at
what he did.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

I've read both his books. I will be sure to listen tonight. I think he will be mostly discussing our power grid and what needs to be done. I don't think the goverment will ever do anything about it; espeically under Biden's watch.

I also stopped listening to Coast to Coast because all the commercials between guests was putting me to sleep. And I don't like George Snorey, he doesn't know when to shut up and let the guest speak. Sean Hannity does the same thing, it is so annoying. I really miss Art Bell!! I often wonder what every became of Mel's Hole? Did the military take over the property? Just asking.

I heard a few parts of the Forstchen interview last night. Pretty much same ol' same ol'.
Noory couldn't even get the new book title right. Shows how much he preps for the show - or has it together anymore.

Zzzzzzzzzzz.

I have a radio that gets shortwave, I'll have to fire it up and see what I can get!

I listen to SHOUTcastRadio almost every night. I have to be in a mood to even want to see what Art Bell show replays might be rebroadcast on any given night.

I use my iPhone and the SHOUTcastRadio app to listen, and my Bluetooth Beats earphones to listen and fall to sleep to.

Using the app, and doing a search for Art gives me these streams…

You’ll notice that the first five streams give the guest and date of the original broadcast.

I like Forstchen’s books, and have several (not most tho). I would have liked to have listened last night had I caught this thread before bed time.

There are many apps that list nearly all the SHOUTcastRadio channels, and you can find them for both iOS and android software.

I’ve got three shortwave radios. Used to have an amazing 1940s huge tabletop shortwave just like this one…

EF2B676E-27D4-481D-ACCB-BEC4DFD86946.jpeg

I wish I’d kept it. It had the tubes (versus ic chips), and with a long wire antenna the sound was amazing.

My newest shortwave is a boombox style that I bought for the new desktop computer. It does AM/FM and most shortwave freqs. It has a cassette tape player, that can be used to record the tape contents to MicroSD chips.

The really cool feature is the built in Bluetooth, which is what I use to listen to the computer audio. Picked it up on Walmart.com for $40. Excellent price.

My other two SW radios are a) a pocket sized transistor radio that includes am/fm (I keep this one in my bugout bag) and b) a portable multi feature iRonsnow IS-388.

Features ::

Real NOAA Alert Weather Radio with Alarm, iRonsnow IS-388 Solar Hand Crank Emergency AM/FM/SW/WB Radio, TF Card Speaker, LED Flashlight & Reading Camping Lamp, 2300mAh Cell Phone Charger

I was able to listen to Coast To Coast AM,
using my 35 year old Sony 2010,
with AM synchronous detection, which allows it
to pull in a AM signal, where a regular
AM radio, might not hear the signal at all.

The Sony 2010, has always been a highly
regarded communications radio, and now
there are bunches of reviews on YouTube.
It is still considered, one of the best table
top radios, and once again, it proved itself,
as the AM broadcast band, was extremely noisy,
with storms in the area.

The biggest news, that I got from the broadcast,
is that the states of North and South Carolina,
especially South Carolina, have been working on
hardening the electric grids in those states.

Many of the callers, were the regular callers that
I have heard on many broadcasts.

I have another radio, that is on backorder.
It's the CountyComm GP-7, and it also has
AM synchronous detection, and it is considered
a decent radio, according to the YouTube reviews.
I should know, by the end of the month,
when the radio is back in stock.

I am a ham radio op, and a former US Navy
radioman from the 1970's. Radios is something
that I will always be listening to, and doing my
best to keep available.

CQDX. That is something that ole Art
would do a lot of, and of course being a part
of the 75 and 40 meter nets, where he was
a main station on those nets. He would say,
get a radio, and tune in.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

With Art gone, and KDWN havin' shut down a few weeks ago it feels as though the AM band is slowly fadin' way. Used to be able to pick up Mr. Bell on 720AM in most of the western and mountain states.

The Sony 2010 has 32 memories, and most of
them are programmed for ham radio nets.
However, I have (3)three of them, programmed
for clear channel AM broadcast stations.

1040 WHO out of Des Moines IA
1100 WTAM out of Cleveland OH
1110 WBT out of Charlotte NC

I listened to WTAM, as I mostly do,
whenever I am tuned in to Coast.
The S meter on the 2010, was at 6-7
during most of the broadcast.

The good ole days, of AM broadcast went
away with the advent, of the internet and
cell phone, just like amateur radio.
So much has been destroyed by the internet
and cell phone, especially the cell phone.

The Freedom Net is on tonight starting at
10:00PM Eastern, and usually you can find
it at 3.982KHZ, if there is no jamming.
Sometimes it is jammed really bad, and most
of what you will hear on the net, you would
most likely read here at TB2K. The radio ops
are highly Conservative, and most are Christians.
I have been known, to check in from time to time.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

Loved One Second After. While I do not believe that EMP is going to shutdown pacemakers and cars I think it was a fairly accurate portrayal of the results of it. One year after was OK and The Final Day was totally blah. I wish he had done the second year that he skipped between One Second After and One Year After. That adjustment would have been interesting to see.
