This couldn't be happening to a more deserving bunch of Radical Progressive Reds who've made a mockery of the idea of independent journalism. Not only should they lose their "positions", they should be barred from working or posing as "News" persons in the future.
I really do like the idea of selling CNN to a Trump entity so it could become TrumpTV. There would surely be some 'splodey heads over that!

I remember back when CNN was Headline News--a 30-minute loop of the day's top stories, with reporters all around the world. Headline News was THE place to go when something happened.
Now, CNN is a bunch of third-rate newsreaders--I refuse to call them journalists--interviewing other third-rate newsreaders.
You can shoot a cannon from one end of the broadcast day to the other without hitting an actual fact.

God help us, the answer is re-runs, documentaries (as already mentioned), and collages of past shows. That's pretty much what every media outlet does when it's revamping its content. Although you'd think (hope!) political commentary would have a very short expiration date. Maybe we'll get to re-fight the first Gulf War on a day-by-day basis since that's probably CNN's all-time peak.

There is a huge void/market opportunity currently for a real national & international news organization. Those on the far left and on the far right may be happy with the echo chambers of their chosen news sources, but there is a huge group in the middle that would like to get news not filtered through political litmus tests. All of the media outlets with national reach currently are more akin to political operatives (left & right) than they are news organizations, and even then they mostly ignore international matters. Real reporters provide facts rather than opinions and provide complete coverage rather than selective coverage intended to lead people to a desired conclusion. None of the current "news" organizations presently have any desire for real reporters though.
Before they aligned themselves with the left CNN was the go to source for national and international news. They had the reach to provide relevant coverage worldwide that none of the others had. Fast forward to the present and they are currently a pathetic shadow of their former selves having squandered their credibility on the alter of wokedom.
If they did fire ALL of their current news pundits & reporters, the could potentially re-invent themselves back into a real news organization again, but I doubt they are willing to break the ties of the leftist ghouls pulling the strings in the background. My guess is the network will continue to shrink in their coverage reach as they continue to shed their audience that is seeking real news.
