Has No Life - Lives on TB
I have a few recipes that use coffee to provide a deep flavor. And a few more that I've added coffee to the ingredients because my son can't have beef and the meal needed that depth of flavor.
Recently I got to try chicory and liked it but it's not going to be something I drink every day. I also don't have limitless funds for experimenting. It's not available locally so I'd have to order it online. So a question for those who do know more about it. Is there a variety that provides a good "dark" flavor like strong roasted coffee? I'd really rather use chicory than coffee but I'm at the point of getting single serve decaf coffee bags if I don't find something else. oh, yeah, it's decaf coffee because caffeine, in this house, is asking for trouble. The other point is that I can eventually grow my own and roast it. But that's eventually and I'd like something in the pantry now.
