Yeah... I was raised by a very idealistic "can't we all get along" mother and a father whose work in "the projects" as a telephone installer repairman made him a realist. He didn't give a damn what color someone was, but he couldn't stand anyone who lived in filth and trashed brand new apartments out of pure ignorance and laziness. Mom made a point that she would be fine if I dated a black guy (easy for her to say... there weren't any in our town or school!)... Dad made it clear (almost without saying a thing) that it *would not* be ok!

I pretty much agreed with Martin Luther King... basically, we should be judged by the content if our character, not the color of our skin.

The problem was, over the last decade or so, that "character" so common to Nowskis "97%" is clearly on display... and NOT compatible with a peaceful, productive, law abiding society.

And the liberals, with their indulgence of every sort of crime and insistence that there must be two standards... one for the majority, who must work hard, pay taxes and obey every law, and a very different one for "the poor, downtrodden, misunderstood "youths""... are rapidly making MORE racists, not fewer.

Only if we get to a point where not only do ALL lives matter, but it is no longer considered racist to say so, can this country heal.

In the meantime, I've stopped pretending. I treat all people I meet with equal amounts of courtesy and suspicion, and trust none of them. But I flat out refuse to apologize for sonething I never had any part in or responsibility for...

And Mr Cathy ought to stop insulting the majority of his customers... it's bad for business.
