CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department has released its police reports in the Jussie Smollett case in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from WGN.

CPD provided WGN with two reports. Both reports have redactions.

Smollett had been charged with 16 counts of disorderly conduct after Chicago police say he staged a racial and homophobic attack in the city in January. Those charges will be now be wiped from Smollett’s record.

A new court order prevents Chicago police from releasing additional Smollett records, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.

"We were advised at 930 this morning that the CPD records and investigative files are now under seal by order ofg the Court. We acknowledged receipt of the order and stopped responding to FOIA requests," Guglielmi said in a statement.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

There's new information on the link "All of the police reports released to WGN were in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. Just as quickly as those documents arrived in reporters’ inboxes, a judge slapped police back, reminding them these documents, along with the rest of the Smollett case file, were sealed Tuesday when prosecutors’ dropped their case."

Oopsie!!!
