Nothing new about overzealous prosecutors abusing power for political purposes. What’s inexcusable and indefensible is DOJs handling of this manhunt and Biden regime using J6 as pretext to direct government resources, authority against the Right. You either get it—or you don’t.
They used the IRS to go after conservatives and they used the DOJ, FBI and probably the CIA to spy on Trump's campaign and anyone high up in it.

There's a way to confirm government surveillance. You must get a good description of the vehicle and most important the license plate number. Run the plate number. The plate number should match the vehicle description. If it does not match, it pretty much verifies a federal surveillance unit.

Enter the plate number. The results will give you free of charge the year, make and model. This year make and model should match the description of your suspected tail. If it does not, it's a confirmation of a tail.
Being the DC area they may use regular motor pool vehicles that are properly licensed since there are too many "perps" to be pestering. However for most persons of interest most federal agencies often use fake tags.
Another way to find out is to play a game. Do your best to get a little ahead of them, then quickly duck behind something to conceal your location. Then get behind, follow and see how they react. Do not get on their bumper or act like you are harassing or stalking, or if it's an innocent person they will file charges. Just stay behind so you know they can see you. If they are surveillance they will immediately know they've been had. They will likely try to evade you.
Another game is to simply park and see what they do. You have to play it by ear and interpret and invent as you go.
Just don't do anything where these assholes feel threatened.
