President Felipe Calderon challenged the political party leaders to say publicly whether the Mexican government should withdraw from the fight against organized crime.
In the Security Dialogue, attended by national leaders of the PRI, PRD, PAN, Convergence, New Alliance and the Green Party, Beatriz Paredes, Jesus Ortega, Cesar Nava, Luis Walton, Jorge Kahwagi and Senator Arturo Escobar, the president Federal acknowledged that his strategy before the crime has been questioned and expressed their willingness to strengthen it and rectify it. I ask, he said, proposals are clear and precise ideas.
"Recognizing and openly publishes the state's duty to fight crime and to respect and enforce the law is the foundation for joint institutional life. If someone finds that the failure of the government has been fighting crime, it is the right time to say so openly and honestly, "Bush said.
Otherwise, he said, the political forces should focus on discussing and analyzing the strategy, so called to assume a full commitment to a policy of state for security because it does not mean supporting the President and his party.
A party leaders, President Calderón also made them see that dialogue will not sacrifice the ideological positions of each beat because the enemy are the criminals.
