Oooh, this is NOT good for mini Mike...

Mike Bloomberg referred to trans women as ‘it’ and ‘some guy in a dress’

A newly unearthed video shows 2020 presidential hopeful Mike Bloomberg referring to transgender women for a second time as “some guy in a dress.”

After a new campaign ad touted the former mayor as “incredibly sensitive” to the LGBTQ community, a video resurfaced of Bloomberg last year referring to transgender people as “he, she or it” and “some guy in a dress” — the second time he’s been caught making such comments in recent years.

In the clip, recorded in March before he announced his campaign, Bloomberg used the language to warn 2020 Democratic hopefuls against stressing transgender issues, arguing that they wouldn’t play well in Middle America.

“If your conversation during a presidential election is about some guy wearing a dress and whether he, she, or it can go to the locker room with their daughter, that’s not a winning formula for most people,” he said at a Manhattan forum hosted by the Bermuda Development Agency.

He delivered a similar remark about a “man wearing a dress” while making the same point at Oxford University in 2016.

Despite the flippant language, a spokesperson for the Bloomberg campaign told BuzzFeed that the candidate is ready to stand behind transgender rights.

“Mike understands that the transgender community has been under attack for decades and the advance of rights has not been equal. In April 2002, during his first year as mayor, Mike signed a sweeping transgender civil rights bill into law,” the spokesperson told the outlet. “His company provides comprehensive health care coverage for his transgender employees.”

The spokesperson added that, “as president, he has a comprehensive plan to secure rights for transgender Americans, including passing the Equality Act, ensuring transgender people have access to affirming health care and working to end the crisis of violence against transgender women.”

Neither here nor there.
This guy is almost as bad as Hillary when it comes to nastiness and yet the left still supports him. The only thing missing is the trail of dead bodies.

If Warren doesn't go after this comment in the debate tonight, she can't be the champion for trans women of color...

Give credit where credit is due. If Trump said that most of us would stand up and applaud him for saying the obvious. I don't like Bloomberg because he is an arrogant and haughty little oligarch and that is it. He does occasionally speak non politically correct ideas when he wasn't running for the nomination.

Comments like that may not be good for him, politically, with the crowd he's referring to. But for the rest of us who know what's going on, he's speaking the truth. These folks ARE guys wearing dresses.

Agree on all points. What I find entertaining is that it comes in the context of Bloomberg running to lead a party that, on paper, would find his statements appalling.

To my knowledge, I don't think Trump has said anything like this. Maybe if Bloomberg gets the nod, there will be a "Transgenders for Trump" movement.

Howdy, Folks!

Look, if one is a candidate that is supposedly for the dregs of society, said candidate cannot anger the dregs.

Oh, why not.

If they get their knickers in a twist because their candidate says something that they don't like, they can always run a dude in a dress for POTUS and see where that gets them...

Kinda reminds me of Bulworth.

Notice how he seems to be Trump's doppleganger?
Both are filthy rich and thus able to throw $ at elections.
Both are brash New Yawkers who speak their mind and say what a lot of us are really thinking.
It's almost as if the opposition has found their very own Donald.....
