I used to look at this milestone like it was so far away it was unobtainable but here I am.
I am celebrating this occasion with its own thread so I can express my thanks to all those I’ve communicated with. I’ve come to view TB2K as family and friends and I rely on it for news, communication and the ability to express myself in these trying times.
I have found many kindred minds that think as I do as well as many who disagree. I usually learn something from both and I have found I’m not always on the right side of an issue so by participating in some of the threads where there are diverse opinions I stretch my mind and my ability to reason and communicate.
We are in dire times and I expect doom and gloom but I also like to play. I try to learn about different doom and gloom scenarios but I also try not to worry about the ones that I can’t affect. I can’t stop an earthquake or asteroid or volcano but it is interesting learning about things like the New Madrid Fault line.
I like history. I feel we should learn from history to avoid repeating as many mistakes as we can.
I think we are at a very perilous place in the timeline of America. We are at a cusp of either fixing it or losing it. Either way, it is going to be very traumatic and difficult but I hope in the end, we fix it.
I’ve learned a lot about prepping and survival from this board.
I like the support and prayers this board offers up for members in need, I think there are a bunch of special, caring individuals on this board that makes up this TB2K family.
What would be great is if I’m still communicating with you all for the 10K mark or that we are all still around talking about doom and gloom in Y2020. That would mean the Mayan calendar just ran out of space, the asteroids missed us, we avoided a Civil War, the earthquake fault zones weren’t ready, China, Russia, Iran, North Korea and the other Axis of Evil countries decided it benefited no one to engage in World War III, the Stephen King virus wasn’t released, the aliens decided against invading, the right and left managed to meet in the middle, and all our wishes and dreams came true.
Hey, it’s a fantasy, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen, right?
