Yes I agree with that. I'm sure that members of the county organizations were told to "show the flag" to make it look good. I've had that done to me "Show up, to show the candidate how much support he has" I did that once, to repay a favor that was done on my behalf by union leadership and I made that fact known that it was a repayment for that support, and don't expect me to glad hand or talk to anyone and we left it at that. but a LOT of that goes on.

On another thread and on Drudge, there is a Headline that Kamala said she is ready to take on the responsibilities of being President, or words to that effect. The article is behind a pay wall, which neither Red Baron nor I can access. But the headline pretty much says it all. She probably was told to say this. It is possible she went "Off the reservation" with the comment but I don't think so. The Journal wouldn't have printed it, though the US version of the UK Daily Mail or other sources might.
