I know one currently. This person missed a family member's funeral this week as a result. (funeral was non-vid related)

To my knowledge, this person is "vaxxed to the max". They had the 'vid in February too.

I know a couple more I suspect have it currently but the mild symptoms are being blamed on fall allergies.

Eta: I am hearing an unprecedented undertone of non-compliance irl. My tin-foil hat perspective gives a slight chance tptb actually expect that and intend to use that push-back for their long-term goals. My gut is telling me it is just an "election variant".

Let me be clear & concise on one point: I leave a remote possibility that a coming variant will decimate the unvaxxed population. Gain of function research makes that a possibility however remote. If China's initial reactions are to be believed, they thought the 'Vid was far more serious than most other countries. All I'm trying to suggest is that I'm not discounting another pandemic as a faux hoax. It could be real and it could very well be done on purpose.

Someone I work with just got over an unusual illness that was not COVID nor Flu, as per test results..
No upper respiratory symptoms but sore throat, total body slam like a truck ran over him and fever. He said it was really weird and that he caught it after his son caught it during a trip to Spain.

Two of our friends were tested positive for the new strain about two weeks ago. It was a short-lived discomfort and I guess they were going to get the booster shot for the new strain? They were worried about coming over to our place and getting us sick. Nothing happened to us. We spent most of our time with them outside, but were inside several times. We had dinner at our house and I washed the dishes afterwards. I think DH and I are immune to the new virus, after having getting really, really sick before several times in our lives. DH caught the virus that Jim Henson had, Jim died from Streptococcus Pyogenes and it is really deadly. Only one experienced doctor (i.e. he recognized it as he had dealt with it) and knew how to treat him.

When I was a young child I got really ill while being away from home. Spent about 3 weeks in "isolation". Never knew the source of the sickness, wonder what kind of flu was going around in 1966 or so. No more flu after that.

Cuomo used over 200 million in taxpayers money to build the Athenx plant in Dunkirk, NY. By the time it was built, Athenx went under and sold the plant to another company with ties to China. They want to manufacture Covid vaccines on a regular basis. A new vaccine for every variant. I wonder how many other plants there are like this around North America. Maybe Biden is getting ready to help these companies by pushing the vaccine fear again.

At least 10 of DH's family members in Florida got ill after a birthday party two weeks ago. Of course they're all vac'd and all tested again and came up positive.

No Vax for me, just had the Faucid-19 per the test kit results. DW and DD brought it home as a souvenir from a trip to Orlando.

Somewhere between a mild cold and a mild flu, still don't recommend the experience.

Wife got vaxxed and boosted during round one of the experiment, luckily no forthcoming job or school requirements on the horizon. She has no side effects, yet. I pray often.

Next round?
It's a solid no for me, same for daughter.

Just ran into an acquaintance at the grocery, wearing a mask. I'm sure she does it because her very elderly parents live with her. But it's still worthless.
