Most here seem to be pro-American Republic. It's not too much to ask that patriots understand and are able to speak coherently.

The whole reason we are where we are is a lack of folks educating themselves. If you can't even communicate correctly in the common language, then you are as much at fault for the crap as anyone else.

One of the first major development projects I ran as a new Project Manager back in 1980-81 (over 40 years ago) was implementing Carter’s Windfall Profit Tax legislation of 1980.

I did double duty, writing over half of the COBOL programs we developed myself while directing/leading the other programmers and testing teams.

At the time, this was considered to be the most complex tax law ever signed into existence.

Does anyone remember the cause of Carter implementing his Windfall Profits Tax?
US foreign policy screw ups caused the Arab Oil Embargo to take place, driving up gas prices, leading to greatly increased oil company profits.

Does anyone remember the consequences to the American public?
Carter-era inflation, job losses, recession and pain for the public.

Does anyone remember the consequences to Carter?
Landslide loss to Reagan.

We've seen this horror movie before. Do none of the big brain geniuses in DC have an understanding of history and cause and effect? Are they doomed to repeat Carter's mistakes?

Because we're seeing By-dumb's foreign policy driving us into an energy crisis that's driving up gas prices, greatly increasing oil company profits. And that is re-creating Carter-era inflation, causing job losses, sending the country into recession and causing serious pain for the American public.

Eagerly looking forward to the landslide election loss for By-dumb to the next Reagan character.

I know it's a message board. For communication. If a message is worth posting, it's worth proofreading.
If anyone has something to say, it's in their best interest to insure it's understood. If I choose to post in Gaelic or Swahili, I expect to get called on it, because it's poorly or not understood at all. Most of us here are old enough to be able to speak and write decent English, rather than the "creative" spelling and dumbed-down teachings that pass in schools lately.

After all, doesn't pretty much everyone here hold themselves to a higher standard than "them ignorant younguns"? We mock them for their ignorance and lack of gumption to improve it.

And... it's "there have been" several dumbass corrections. Snort.

Actually I too have experiences some issues with Spell Check offering up totally different words and sometimes refused to accept the word, written correctly as is. I had to use another word. I have a theory which I have expressed here as to why this is happening, but not going to type it out again.
